No. That scare is only for people who leak the builds not those who use it.

That's awesome, they're certainly going all-in with the tablet stuff this time round.

I'd much rather be using Windows on a tablet than iOS or Android vv
I would like to use Windows on a tablet too... if it was 16GB and disabled all non-essential applications and services.

No x64 leak? Dammit. Oh well, I wonder if this will be as hugely successful as the Win 7 beta.

Ashens (Youtube reviewer) found a pretty awesome Windows 7 tablet that ran quite well.

It didn't actually come with a Windows 7 licence though

About how long does it take to install on VirtualBox (which I know really depends on specs)? Because I can't figure out if my install is hung or what.

Though I really set myself up for that with the wording, we'll just say it was frozen. I'm going to try and update VirtualBox from 4.0.4 to 4.0.6 and see if that helps.

    Laughed at this.

I can't believe how responsive 8 is. Everything is so fast. I can't seem to enable TaskUI though, what a bummer.

I think they change the mouse settings because cursor movement seems more smoother than it does in 7.

The new help is located in C:\Windows\MSHelp. It's in the new AppX form, however it's locked down.

Got word from Canouna that there's Aero (the one above) and a new locked Aero. Whatever this new locked Aero is I'm intrigued.

Got bored and recreated the setup image.

I'm not sure what the blob in the bottom left looks like. I know it's the accessibility button, but i don't know what MS is trying to make it look like with metro.

You can mount .vhd's now via context though instead of going through diskmgmt.msc.

7zip is sufficiently lightweight and unobtrusive enough for that to not bother me very much.

    Edited:

i'd probably still use 7zip if windows implemented rar support anyways

RAR files use a proprietary closed-source system. 7zip uses a licensed plug-in to open rar files, highly doubt MS would pay the money to add it.

Any idea what the little icon next to "Setup will continue after restarting your computer" is? Looks like some animated orbs or something

Apparently that Microsoft Store image was real. There's another image of it in another language. The reason I and everyone else thought it was fake is because misaligned fonts and the fact it look like someone new to photoshop just took an image WMP12 and messed with it.

Also there seems to be a new bootscreen. Though the only image of it covers up everything except the old part that we see in 7 so I won't bother posting it.

    Edited:

Double nevermind. It was a fake as originally expected.

So what's going on with the window title bar locations? Are Microsoft planning to centre them from now on or is it just some weird bug in these builds?
