I never ran our of quests while leveling. Before you do the quests that are appropriate for your level (quest maybe 1 or 2 levels over yours) do the ones that are lower. I usually finish the quests that are blue before I continue.

Out of all the superpowers I've tried so far, gadgets seems like the worst. I've also noticed that each superpower's different specs correspond to long range and melee fighting.

I've tried the trial for Champions a while back, and I can't say I bothered with it for very long after I was done creating my character. DCUO might not be perfect (balance issues, fairly repetitive quests, etc) but there are a lot of things to make up for it. :keke:

You can use travel powers in combat. I was using flight and used the ice power that pulls people towards you to pull a guy off a rooftop, then I smashed him down to the ground at street level. He nearly died from the damage.

Not really comparable, their combat systems are quite different. Champions gives you more control over your power selections but DCU has a more active combat system. Think of DCU as a watered down Devil May Cry with dice roll hits, while Champions is the more traditional MMO hammer on power bar type of combat (though Champions does mix it up a bit with the way they use the powers).

Also in DCU, you get your travel power at the very beginning.

You will get some more interesting moves as you level up but for the most part, you aim at a guy and start right clicking. If you don't like having to aim, you can just mouse over him and then lock on with TAB. The hits are based on defense/attack/dice rolls anyway, so your own personal accuracy makes no difference.

I hate the pvp in the game atm Fire and Ice are so incredibly overpowered its silly especially fire.......


plus im playing as gadgets which is just plain crappy i mean half the gadgets miss all the time.

No, I was talking about really using them to travel. You can't go fullspeed while in combat.

i just think there's huge inconsistencies between the classes/weps and the knockback stuns they have i get that its meant to be different but some trees clearly have a huge advantage i mean i got beat by a brawler who just spammed the basic charge and stunned me every time i used block/breakout but to no avail.

i get the game is new and it takes a while to iron out the problems like any mmo but its just frustrating.

yeah audio was a pain mine still keeps cutting out with weapon sounds after cutscenes tho and the bass on the cutscene's for me is insane! it makes my speakers vibrate like crazy ( and its on low on the speakers :S )

Mine only cuts out in Arena battles, when people are all fighting in a group.

Fire has self heals, and still puts out a lot of damage, and this is while in tank spec. Not sure about ice.

I have installed it and created an account but now everytime i start it up i get stuck BEFORE the launcher even start so im stucck with a SOE logo looking at me like a spiteful child that i just pushed out of the sandbox. Do anyone know what could be the problem. I've upgraded activeX, Flash and C++ only to get the same thing. I've even fixed a outdated textline in the launcher itself only to get the same thing.

Please help.

Right click SOE and check that Compatibility Mode is unticked.

Reinstall Flash via Internet Explorer.

Use CC cleaner to clear your Internet cache.

Run as Admin.

Compability isn't it. Tried and failed

Tried installing Flash via IE. Didn't work

I downloaded CCcleaner and ran it but nothing happened to the game.

Im the only user on this computer so the admin issue is not it.

I dont mean to be rude in any way so forgive me if i sound like im not gratefull but any more ideas??

EDIT: I bought the game outside steam since they dont have it here in Sweden outside retailers for some reason. Can it be that they dont allow scandinavians into the servers yet or somthing.
(i know its a REALLY long shot at a idea but i've run out of anything else)
