Dungeons and Dragons online, if you don't like grinding or "click enemy to attack, then wait for either him or you to die" combat.

DC universe looks fun as well, but it's paid (15€ per month, cheaper in $ but i don't know the exact price)

Uhh, Champions Online? It's sort of action-ey(depends on the way you play), some facepunchers, and the customizations is like, the best thing ever.
