Sweet my dad has an 81 kz 550 that he bought new. Still less than <8,000 miles. I live 300 miles away though so rarely drive it anymore.
Sometimes we take a bike in on trade at work so I get to drive them to a wholesaler or something.

Try getting a light one then, say a 125 or 250...
Mine's a 125 (age limits, shit) but it can rival most cars in traffic.
I was working on this before I started on a 66 volvo:

Today I purchased a 2004 Ninja 250r. Its yellow. Will have pictures up shortly.
Good choice.
That's a sweet looking Ninja!
Damn that's nice. How much did you get it for?
I got it for 1800. Its got really low mileage for a 2004. And yellow is my favorite vehicle color. My rx8 was totaled a couple weeks ago because some old lady in a rav4 decided she wanted to approach an intersection without bothering to stop. At least her insurance is paying me about $5000 more than I bought the car for.
fuck you all, wish i had a road bike.
im stuck with this piece of shit and limited to fields until i pull my figures out of my ass and make it road legal
Yes, it's a large pit bike, and yes, you can make them road legal if i register it as an enduro bike.
I had an enduro bike that was road legal :D
I'm getting a Dnepr 650 or a BMW 650 next year, can't wait!!!
Nice :D what bike was it ? Mines a 200cc 4stroke :D
Iv been doing some work to my cbr600f street-fighter has a ducati 748 back end had a ninja can on it but i chopped it, new headlights, bars, grips, gave it a service and oil/filter change, changed exhaust gaskets, only has 30k miles on the clock and its the same age as me 21, just needs some clocks now.

Holy hell, that's gorgeous.
thanks mate, shes a beaut ant she.
I like that alot, but i'm getting some wierd vibes from the front fender, just something.....
Well it did look like this one but look at it its ugly it needed a chop imo.

That is one hell of a nice bike. I love the look of streetfighters, if I ever get a bike I'd love to do the same thing.
thank you!, i might invest in a nice set of upside down chunky forks to make the front end look bigger.
My '92 Honda NSR. I love it :shobon:
Although I wish it was summer already. Up here in Finland it might take some time for the roads to unfreeze, but until then I'll drive my loyal chinese scooter that you can see at the background of the second picture
My dad also owns a 1986 Kawasaki GPZ 900R. I hope he will let me drive it when I get the license for it.
Is that a moped or a 125? :O looks so small
The latest progress of my bobber project.

are you painting the whole bike? just wondering why you didn't cover the shocks and disks.
I'm just priming the main parts right now. Plus, I was spending most of the day cutting off and sanding down the rear fender and cutting up my seat![]()
Are rigid frames legal in your country?
If so, weld a hardtail onto that thing. If your butt is comfy, you can't call it a bobber.![]()
I'm taking off the suspension soon and making it a hardtail. I can't wait to whip this thing around corners.
Keep me fucking updated on this man, Try to make it as oldschool as possible. what idea do you have on the exhaust and so on? I'd love to help :)
I have a homemade exhaust on it right now. Its pretty much a straight pipe with a small baffle at the end made out of a Oldsmobile muffler. Feel free to shoot me some ideas, though.

Also, it went from
to this

The back fender is about a foot shorter![]()
Any ideas on how the final product is going to look? Colour, overall modifications...
Okay, fuck this.
I want a bike. Cheaper than a fucking car right now and I need to be efficient in transportation.
Someone find me a good cheap beater bike that I can ride on the street in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area.
MSF course which I believe is required, at least it is in florida, is like $250-$350
Not required here.

Tell him you'll only pay 2000 unless he fixes the horn and highbeams.
Nonono, way out of my price range. I'm wanting some beater for half that or less.
A Ninja 250 is something I'd be more interested in, I'm a small dude, i weigh 110 pounds. A 500cc bike would crush me like an ant.
I'm really looking for a small enduro bike, something between 50-350cc that could be streetable with some work. I'm not looking for something shiny and whatnot. :3
Last couple bikes I had were 175cc bikes and they were alright, the 4 stroke honda I had was heavy as shit but the 2 stroke Kawasaki was nice, I'd like to find something like the '71 Kawasaki F7 I had but four stroke.
Weight isn't your problem. Find a bike with a lower center of gravity and you'll be able to ride it, pretty much regardless of how much you weigh.
Alright, sounds good. I still don't want to be crushed when I inevitably fall over on it though.
Well i'd suggest some dark/matte colours if you want to keep it oldschool, lay of with all the exsesive chrome and such, back then the bobbers was basically a chopped bike that they raced both on and some off road.
well, i'm kind of out of ideas right now.
Oh, maybe increase the engine hp/tourqe? If you want i could dig up some photos i've found and taken, so that you might snap on some ideas
