If he respected notch at all he wouldn't have done it. If notch wanted it to be on consoles he would have expressed it himself, and really what this guy is doing is keeping Minecraft from getting new players because people will play this because it's cheaper.

We're "bagging on him" because he is taking advantage of Minecraft's popularity to make a quick buck. He isn't doing the community a favor by putting this alternate game on the consoles.

He stated in the documentary that he's not trying to be Valve or anything. He made a game for fun, and people started throwing money at him.

I think its awesome that hes doing it. I would love to chill with an xbox controller in my hand and play with 30 of my closest friends over xbox. And if the games is badly made no one will buy it. Easy as that.

The world isn't about "respect". If people can make money they are going to do it. No one cares about "feelings". And Notch isn't "EXPRESSING HIMSLEF" through Minecraft. It's his job, that he happens to enjoy also.

He is taking advantage of another persons creativity and branding by trying to sell his own knockoff version. Changing the name to "Fortresscraft" and slapping on extra features is just an underhanded attempt at deception.

If that isn't reason enough, the developer is also behaving like a child in his responses to accusations over how he has basically copied Minecraft.
