Not to be confused with the king of gmod, I tried to remix Cars by Gary Numan.

    Tell me what you think.

sounds like nothing but mild vamping and a high pass filter, with an extremely static modulation on the bassline.

    aka try harder

I like the Microsoft Voice. I think it needs more a punch on the snare and a heavier bassline. But I know nothing about music, it's just the way I like it. Leave that up to the audiophiles

Your production is good, but I think Gary Numan would cry if he heard this. This doesn't have the atmosphere that he worked so hard to achieve.

It's OK, but it sounds like it's missing something. I just can't put my finger on it.

Maybe it's because you put too many effects in it, which sort of ruins the feel of the original song.

The drums and synths seem over-saturated with effects.

I like the idea, just work on making it sound better really. Try and find a sound closer to the original synth lead, I feel that would work better.

    No. Thank you.

It's pretty nice, but you went way overboard with the effects IMO.

You guys have a point, I kinda went a little overboard with the effects. It's hard: I think there's an equilibrium to be met of effects and natural sound. I'm not quite there yet, ha. Thanks for pointing it out.

Also, as far as the pad goes, I think you need to raise the attack so that it flows like the original song. Also, maybe add some reverb here and there? However, be very careful with it. The sound is just too dry to me.

It feels muddy, but that might just be me. If it isn't just my sound settings deciding to boost bass by themselves again, then yeah, needs some better mixing. But it's cool sutff.

You're not wrong, the bass kinda dominates the track. That's definitely on my to-fix list.

+ thanks so far to everyone for their comments/suggestions
