Not sure if anyone remembers, but a while ago I asked about a Beatles tribute band called Beatlemania: Magic because they were playing nearby. Ended up going, and just got back, and they were wonderful. Was my first concert, and they did excellent behavioral imitations of each of the Beatles', though their appearances were slightly off - not that it matters, since they played near-flawlessly. They did two segments, the first half being '62-'65 Beatles, the next being '65-'70 Beatles (plus Imagine, because why not). The second half they dressed up in accurate Sgt. Pepper's costumes, which was awesome. My only (non)issue was that the George impersonater sang with a sort of funny articulation, but he never actually missed a note, so I'm just being picky. Plus, he nailed While my Guitar Gently Weeps.
Was a fun first concert.
I was to one concert with a Beatles tribute band, The Mersey Beatles, the George in that band looked nothing like him but wow it sounded almost like him.
I still find Gavin Pring from the Fab Four as the best George
I'm a day late but
would have been appropriate yesterday!
Hey does anyone know what kind of guitar George has in this picture?
thumbd because of size
I have a guitar that I got from my grandmother that she got when she was young, around the beginning of the 60's
and it looks really a lot like this, so much that I think its the same kind of guitar.
The one I have is a Levis, not sure about Georges though.
Okay I just realized that it isn't the same kind, but I still wonder what kind of guitar that is.
John is hilarious in this one.
here, have some sweet Ringo lovins <3
okay, BBC is finally showing the George Harrison documentary tonight..
too bad I've already seen it, but this time they're showing it in HD, so may as well.
Went to a Beatles tribute concert thing at the Hard Rock in Universal Orlando. Front row seats and everything. They played all the songs off The White Album (Including Revolution 9 ) and a few of their hits. When they played while my guitar gently weeps I died from them sweet guitars
I forgot to take them because the show was too awesome
Have some Beatle-spam
I had videos of a fab faux concert on my ipod, but now it's stuck in recovery mode and I can't get them off of it.
10 bucks ain't bad.
Would get as a tattoo sleeve. That'd be wicked.
Would buy it, too bad Skyrim drained all my money
Buying it now. So excited!
Picked all these up today.
So fucking rad.
Altogether it was about 30 bux.
where in the flying fuck did you find those
Record City in Vegas. Rad little place.
damn you and yer fancy casinos and in Lahs Vee-gahs
but then even in DOLLARS that's crazy. That John Lennon one would probably be about £8, that Ringo would be about £10 depending on condition.
Not fair. :)
I paid $12(£7) for my Ringo and it's in really great condition.
All the ones I bought are in really good condition. Not perfect, but they look great to me.
I'll be really surprised if any of them are originals. That'd be a long shot but just to get one original in that whole stack would be pretty awesome.
The Ringo is probably definitely an original.
I just posted a big showcase of every single one of my vinyls with information, track listings, and a little bit of how I attained them. It starts with A Hard Day's Night (although that's the last one I posted) and ends with George's Cloud Nine. Go check it out if you're interested. The pictures aren't very high quality, but it was fun to do.
