Can I not send people nice things???
Can I not send people nice things???
It's Yesterday and Today with Paul is miserable cover version.
Edited:
Yes of course you can send nice people things.
Sounds about right.
WE SHOULD BURN ALL OUR BEATLES RECORDS!!!
bought Cloud Nine on vinyl today for $8, pretty good condition too
My dad owed me a lot of money so rather than pay me back he bought me the Anthology
I am completely okay with this :toot:
Will listen to the US pressing version of Rubber Soul. If it turns out to be a completely different experience, I'll tell you.
Oh yes! Paul McCartney's album for 2012 will be an album composed mainly of covers and have two original tracks! Go to his website, he's steaming a new original track called My Valentine from there!

For some reason it's a completely different experience.
Edited:
probably because it has different songs and has more echo.
this is pretty awesome
I especially like the OW! at 0:47
This was on the original US Rubber Soul. Weird how different US releases are..
I was intrigued because Pet Sounds was influenced directly by the US version of the album.
Once upon a time there were two balloons called Jock and Yono. They were strictly in love bound to happen in a million years. They were together man. Unfortunatimetable they seemed to have previous experience which kept calling them one way or another. You know how it is. But they battled on against overwhelming oddities. Including some of their beast friends. Being in love the clung together even more man. But some of the poisonous monsters of outdated buslorry throwers did stick slightly, and they occasionaly had to resort to the dry cleaners. Luckily this did not kill them and they weren't banned from the olympic games. They lived hopefully ever after and who could blame them?
Today is a good day.
Also that record in the player isn't one of those 3, it's another one.
My awesome Christmas presents:
Also a With The Beatles vinyl and
Now to actually buy a vinyl player. I have quite a large collection which I have saved over the past couple of years but I haven't bought a vinyl player yet.
For christmas I got the entire Beatles Anthology, part 1-8 with special features.
Was good gift, just finished watching part one.
A woman that i know just came from Majorca, Spain,
She smiled because I did not understand.
Then she held out a ten pound bag of cocaine,
She said it was the finest in the land.
And I said
"No, no, no, no I don't *sniff* no more.
I'm tired of waking up on the floor!
No thank you please it only makes me sneeze,
and then it makes it hard to find the door!
Only a Ringo would do that.![]()
Does Act Naturally sound faster on vinyl or am I insane?
both
Record it. Then compare.
I can recall hearing or reading somewhere that they sped up the vinyls a little bit.
I can't remember why though.
Could be a recording error. If it's really old, it probably is.
Otherwise you need to fix your turntable.
But all of the other songs on the album sound the same speed.
It's not a major difference, it pretty much sounds the same but it's noticeable.
Then it's a pressing error. Unlucky.
Oh well I don't mind it at all and it makes my record special so woo.
So my All Things Must Pass, Imagine, and Goodnight Vienna are all originals wooo.
Also I went the the record store here and got an original Sgt. Pepper for $3. The sleeve is in pretty bad condition and the record has loads of scratches but as far as I can tell from listening to it right now they're all cosmetic and that doesn't matter much to me. I'm only on side 1 but that's the one with the most damage so I'm assuming side 2 will be fine.
I also got a Kinks Live album for $15 which is in amazing condition, and a Wings Greatest Hits album for $2 that's in awesome condition.
This is awesome.
Edited:
Sgt. Pepper sounds so cool on vinyl I don't know what it is it's just amazing.
Sgt. Peppers really is a powerful album, very soothing.
Aaa no skips or anything at all this is amazing.
Makes me feel better about the meanie that bought all of the Sinatra albums in the shop when I was about to go grab some.
Most second hand Beatle records have been played to death anyway.
Can't wait for Mack's new album.
I love listening to Sgt Pepper on the bus, sit down and relax and just listen to the album![]()
That's the life, mang.
Music on the move.
Anyone ever listen to bootlegs? some very interesting demos on a lot of them
I found a website full of bootlegs...one has White Album sessions recorded at George's, another is the supposed album that was going to be released after Abbey Road but before Let It Be called Hot As The Sun. It's got demos of Junk(?)*, All Things Must Pass and a few other songs I can't remember.
*Not sure about this.
ok
Paul seems a little off in this video, not the singing, it's fine but he just seems a little distant.
Still great though.
I think Sir Paul might be used to his band doing backups![]()
Ring Out the Old, Ring in the New!
