Sad to see them disband.
Sad to see them disband.
Listen to the tales and romanticise
How we followed the path of the heroes
Boast about the day when the rivers over-run
How we rise to the height of our halo
Listen to the tales as we all rationalise
Our way into the arms of the saviour
Feigning all the trials and the tribulations
None of us have actually been there
Not like you.
Progressive rock is probably my favorite thing to play before I fall asleep.
You're the only one who can hold your head up high
Shake your fist at the gates saying
"I've come home now!
Fetch me the spirit the son and the father
Tell them their pillar of faith has ascended.
It's time now, my time now. Give me my, give me my wings."
I realise I skipped alot but I also went to the most awesome part of the song
Wishbone Ash, anyone?
Holy FUCK. Usually the only progressive band I really listen to was Rush. Just listened to King Crimson and almost shit my fucking pants. Court of the Crimson King is so goddamn epic and amazing.
I too, have just discoved the joy of King Crimson.
Can't get enough of them.
You should listen to their song "Cat Food".
:mmmsmug:

2. Larks' tongues in Aspic
3. Islands
4. Discipline
5. Lizard
6. Red
7. Starless and Bible Black

Order of best album covers for me![]()
Listening to The ConstruKction of Light now, and holy crap it's amazing!
Haven't heard it yet.
Must do so!
The lyrics are quite shit though, but if you're anything like me you don't care.
Well "Lyrics are shit" doesn't tell me much.
The Power To Believe is good.
It's a very good album, just because it is different doesn't make it bad.
Edited:
Listened to this today.
:iia:
Edited:
oh dang, it was produced by Nick Mason :woop:
If people didn't know already. New Yes album is to be released in July this year![]()
Picked up "In The Land Of Grey And Pink" by Caravan today. About as pansy as it gets in terms of prog, but it's still good.

Steven Wilson talks about doing a 5.1 surround remix of a classic prog album this year. And given how much they influenced his work, I'm going to guess it will be a Pink Floyd album. And I'm also gonna guess it will be a 40th anniversary re-issue. And which floyd album was released in 1971?
He also says they've finished mixing Opeth's new album.
In short: YAAAAAAAAAAAAY
nice, that used to be my second-favourite prog album ever
Planet X is pretty cool.
meddle is my favourite pink floyd album
<3 one of us
I like this. Do you?
Nice and powerful chorus.
I prefer that to moon, but overall I'm an Animals kind of guy. :3:
I'm not very sure if this has been asked yet but are there any new prog bands that are notable?
Porcupine Tree but I dunno if you would call them pure prog.
Either way Deadwing and In Absentia are both fucking sexy albums.
Hypnos 69
Yesterdays.

Too bad that they split about a month ago.
Fucking Haken.
I will keep mentioning them here until people appreciate them![]()
Any prog bands that use sitar, hit me up with some albums :smug:
Anyone here heard of Enochian Theory? I just found out about them and they're great. Sort of like Porcupine Tree, but with a more epic, orchestral feel.
This version of All Along the Watchtower sounds pretty prog and uses an electric sitar.
Not bad, but not quite what I'm after. Tries too hard to be oriental.
Damn Right.
Yes listen to them
Dopey trout got me to listen to them at least a month back and they're brilliant
:3:
Just found this CD.
Apparantly it was a covermount in the Daily Mail and I forgot about it, anyone heard it?
