This is a new program for minecraft that lets you convert 3ds files from programes like maya, 3ds max and blender into minecraft.

Here is what I have been able to do with it so far.
3ds max:
into minecraft:
Darn dark cant see it

This is quiiiiiite old, I made a huge hollow snake with it.
I tried to do a giant worm with teeth and stuff but it didn't work.

I used binvox to convert the OBJ file exported from Crafty directly into an MCEdit schematic.

I got the best results by "rendering" at a high resolution then downscaling, keeps more detail in the end.

You can select the precision in the app this thread is about. I haven't tried it but I don't see why it wouldn't work well.

Don't think your modeling skills have to be that supreme, look at how it looks in minecraft, lots of detail wouldn't work anyways.

I would say only low polygon modeling, just look at my castle 3ds model and how crappy it is.

btw 2 parameter in 3ds max is = 3 cubes with the down scaling set to 1

But mostly they are high polygon count models. you kind of what low polygon so you don't get this

I still find it a shame that noone's made an image-schematic converter that works with the latest client, I have a voxel file already that I'd rather not recreate by hand saved in a layered image format.
