I am the Lexx. I am the most powerful destructive force in the two universes. My captain is Stanley H. Tweedle, and I blow up planets for him.

Lexx is about a gigantic, insectoid, living spaceship with a habit of blowing up planets, that ran from 1997 - 2002, with a total of sixty-one episodes, over four seasons. Unfortunately, due to some nasty executive meddling, the general showing of the show failed slightly; episodes shown out of order, or only the more 'sexual' episodes were shown consecutively, which led to varying ratings across the shows' run.

It's crew consists of:



From left to right, you have Kai, Xev, and Stanley. Kai is a dead, virtually indestructible assassin, Xev is a 'love slave', and Stanley used to be a security guard, before accidentally gaining the key to the Lexx and stealing it.

The show is pretty much chock full of quirkiness, weirdness, sex, and black comedy; but it starts to get more serious towards series three and four.

The first season, depending how you watch it, comes either as four two hour 'pilot' movies, or eight one hour episodes. Yes, the CGI is a little dodgy, but it improves dramatically as the show goes on, and anyway, you shouldn't care that much about it.

The best bit? If you're a lucky bastard who lives in the US, the show is available for free on Hulu.
