Starts you off under water... but off in the distance you see a huge towering mountain, with a waterfall coming out of it, emptying into the sea.. and off in the distance from that you see another odd looking mountain just as tall and you know what fuck it let me grab a screenshot
Other side of this Over-the-clouds mountain I'm standing beside is another bunch of equally as tall mountains and I haven't explored past that
This is for 1.7.3

A seed that spawns you near a stronghold would be pretty awesome. Dunno if anyone's found one yet though. 'gimmeabreak' without the quotes spawns you in a village, which is awesome too.

Strongholds are independent from seed terrain generation, so that is impossible.

suavebaby starts you on a small island in the middle of the ocean with only one tree. It's really fun if you try to survive as long as you can without leaving the island. The sunsets there are beautiful as well.

It has a huge arching rock formation somewhere near spawn, big mountains and breathtakingly huge underground ravines.

What are your sources for such claim? I used a seed that someone posted on FP, claiming that if you followed a water stream under the ocean into a cave, all the way down, you'd find a stronghold. I also did, that makes 2 people who have found a stronghold in the same location, I also shared it with my friends and they all found it on the same spot.

The awesome seed, -1784338777788894343, has been ruined by 1.8, instead of spawning in an awesome looking mountain/canyon thing you spawn in some generic forest.

I used my full name as a seed, in number format it is: -818406085
Walk for less than a minute and found an unbroken village on flat ground.
The coordinates are x = 350, z = 160
It's a good seed for survival if you can't bother gathering resources for your first night

Anybody have a seed that spawns decent size islands in an ocean? The only seeds I can find make really small and uninteresting islands.

i haven't explored it much yet, but for 1.8, lifeisgay will give you like bit kind of mesa-like mountains that stick up out of the water, and then a cool giant ocean, which after flying across i found more awesome mesas jutting up. didn't explore enough to tell if they were part of a continent or just a big island

If seeds are still case-sensitive, then "mountains" gives you a pretty decent world.

Well uh it's basically a ridiculously small island in the middle of nowhere. Give yourself 1 sapling (or swim around and try to find a tree if you're that extreme) and you're good to go.
I don't want to spoil anything for those interested in island survivals, but let's say that you'll get pretty lonely for a while. I so far spent around a full hour or so on a boat trying to find main land.

The seed "Water" in 1.8 is godlike. I think it was done on purpose by one of the devs.

For clarification: No friendly mobs on any nearby islands, 1 tree on your island usually, a few more on the close ones. It is mostly easy mode though, considering it has a deep cave on the island as well. Just make sure to plant trees and it's a breeze.

stabyourself, kill yourself or anything with 'yourself' in it will make some fuckin' amazing cliffs and mountains. It's not good for building on though.
