On June 8, 1968, Paul Fusco, then a photographer for Look Magazine, was a passenger aboard the train carrying Robert F. Kennedy’s coffin between New York City and Washington. He photographed the people along the route who came out to pay their respects.

Ayup. I'm surprised someone knows what Michoacan is. I've always felt uneasy telling someone on the internet where I live. But I know you guys are going to be gentle.

It sort of makes me wonder what it took for some of these photographers to make it as successful people in this very competitive field. The average photographer in the US makes no more than $38,000; which is very little in the grand scheme of things. So I've always been curious as to what big break many of these photographers have that ends up bolstering them to fame. For example: Yuri Arcurs is the world's most famous and profiting stock photographer making over $100,000.00 from Shutterstock alone.

I have family down there. I can remember being 9 years old and visiting that volcano. I was scared shitless that it would erupt at any moment. Also scared shitless (literally) of your tap water.

Outside of fine arts and in the more commercial side, I would say it's a combination of finding a niche and being the best at it, knowing the right people, marketing, and some luck. I'd suppose.

I love these two. The soft colors work wonders for them. I need to learn how to get those types of colors, is it mostly done in PP?
