can you fix the fat turrets collision and model placement cause it is spawned floating in the air and its collisions are on the ground
Just use the nocollide world tool.
You shouldn't have to do that.

Been looking through the pack in hammer, and haven't been able to find a specific door. Did you end up porting this door by chance?

Is there a separate model for a turret with it's "flaps" open, or is it a bodygroup?
I'll re-port it this afternoon and just upload it as a replacement if you want. The door it overwrites is pretty unremarkable.
And Hunterdnc, sadly there isn't. The only way to get the flaps to open that i know of is by model manipulating one onto a turret NPC, then getting it to shoot something.
That would be perfect. If you're referring to the door that I think you are, you're right, it was pretty bland. This door on the other hand could have so many uses...
It's not really a loss if this overwrites it:
Here's the door, it'll overwrite the portal 1 model if you just place it in your garrysmod folder, or if you put it in the folder for whichever game you're mapping with if it's for mapping.
also included is an animated one that's used in Portal 2 and one solid model with the top half, bottom half, and the frame, and no animations. It's odd how the ones that replace the Portal 1 models don't seem to be actually used in Portal 2. Must've been placeholders or something.

what is the likelihood of getting a Portal 2 texture pack as well? I tried to get them out...but none of them show up correctly in Episode 2 so I'm lost...

How did you get them to work in 3ds max? I'm trying to do the Space Core for the Sandman ball but no success as of yet. Gimme a bone here.

We have his textures though.
I meant to say how did you succesfully extract them and make them usable for decompiling? My decompiler crashes whenever I try to decompile them.
And where ARE the space core's texture in the vpk anyway?
also download the latest GCFScape it has VPK support.
Also you'll need to go to the common files directory of your steam account to access it.
It should be the bottom VPK. You know, the one that's named pak01_dir.vpk
Under this directory
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\portal 2\portal2
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\portal 2\portal2
on a 32 bit computer.
Well, I knew that much, but thanks for showing its directory. Now just have to find a way to make it usable.
