I used to have Mod Loader when version 1.4 was out, but then Minecraft got updated to 1.5 so I had to reinstall it. When I reinstalled it, I get black screen. I've tried about 1000 different methods, 1000 times. I followed Risugami's instructions exactly, I've tried using other people's advice, I've watched a bunch of tutorial videos, I'm positive I'm using the correct version... I just don't know what to do. I've basically given up now. If anyone has any ideas on how I could get it to work, it would be greatly appreciated because there aren't many fun mods that you can use without Mod Loader.

Well the first thing I did (because it worked before) is used a program called Minecraft Jar tool to install it. After that didn't work I literally followed these steps exactly:
    Risugami's Instructions posted:
    1) Go to Applications>Utilities and open terminal.
    2) Type in the following, line by line:
    Code:
    cd ~
    mkdir mctmp
    cd mctmp
    jar xf ~/Library/Application\ Support/minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar
    3) Outside of terminal, copy all the files and folders into the mctmp directory.
    4) Back inside terminal, type in the following:
    Code:
    rm META-INF/MOJANG_C.*
    jar uf ~/Library/Application\ Support/minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar ./
    cd ..
    rm -rf mctmp
    5) Run Minecraft, enjoy!
And I've tried that at least 3 times to make sure I didn't make a mistake.

Well, I don't know much about that tool to be perfectly honest, it sounds like a version of TFC's Mod Manager.

Have you at all tried the recommended way, of openining minecraft.jar in Winrar, and putting the files in like that? And then, deleting META-INF?
