Inside Job (2010)
This is for the top 250 people. 250 is a big number.
The Pianist
Absolutely brilliant.
There Will Be Blood (2007)
Film about an oil tycoon's greed for oil, leading to his eventual downfall. The acting....Christ.
Donnie Darko (2001)
If you haven't seen the movie, don't be fooled by the description implying that it's some dumb shit movie, it's just magnificent (especially the ending).
Apocalypse Now (1979)
Whether people like it or not, the effort into making this an experience is staggering. The soundscapes... the visuals, they all provide for a timeless sense of influence throughout. The acting isn't the GREATEST, but it still makes you feel.
treasure planet
great special effects, voice acting, lovable characters, and a very touching moral at the end
Letters From Iwo Jima (2006)
A heck of a lot of people here will enjoy it. There are some brilliant sequences and some top notch acting throughout. It makes for a unique "cultured" view of Japan, although some may dislike it for it's biase (the Japanese mostly) it's one of the few worthy originals of the last decade.
THISTHISTHISTHIS
Adaptation (2002)
Better than Being John Malkovich. Hilarious movie, with some top acting from the Cage.
Zardoz (1974)
-Sean Connery in a red leather codpeice
-ZARDOZ!
I'd say Redux.
I would too, but these guys would start freaking out.![]()
Predator
The first one, fuck the 2nd, and Predators never existed.
Children of Men (2006)
My favourite movie, 16 years time the world just looks so tired, its pretty hopeless but presented brilliantly. The single shot sequences are so unique, the ambush scene is a perfect example of this.
Fantastic Animation Festival (1977)
Chose this specifically for the short Closed Mondays which kicked off the idea of claymation:
.
Sin City.
THIS
one movie at a time Jesus fucking Christ!
Edited:
I agree with Monty Python, disagree with Terminal, the fuck do I do?
Edited:
I rate you dumb
Terminal was good. Not that good though.
Since it was posted along with a lot of other movies but later removed:
The Thing (1982)
![]()
Forrest Gump (1994)
Everyone I know finds it moving. Who doesn't?
Oldboy (2003)
Again, another one a lot of people here will enjoy. This is Korea's masterpiece, there is only a $3mil budget but it's so intricately made it's staggering. Every shot is placed for effect.
