So I've been making a role play world recently. I've gotten quite alot done (hardly any furnashing done inside houses/shops, bare that in mind!). Here's the video:

So I'm thinking of possibly buying a server when I finish the map, but I've never run a server before, so I'm not feeling that confident. I'm quite happy with what I have so far, but I want to add A LOT more into the main city/surrounding towns. I've realised I'm only one pair of hands and it's going to be quite along time before it even nears completion. I'd say its an 'Alpha' right now, but I'm quite passionate about it. There's things that need changing, lots of stuff to be added and loads of ideas!
But I'd like this to become more of a community map. Or even just a few helping hands who are capable of making a realistic experience with me. I haven't decided whether it should be an RP map (as many people don't RP, me included.) or an adventure map of some sorts.
I run of my own Hamachi server, which is quite laggy once more than 2 people join. But if anyone wants to join and help out, hell, I even need 'idea guys'! feel free. I have my own ventrilo server too, so we'd be in full contact whilst playing :D

You should connect the gates and stuff to levers in guard towers, instead of just a sign there.

That's something I've been planning, the "entrance" I have there isn't as big and epic as I'd like it to be, so I'm probably going to use that as an exit. So I really want guard towers added, especially for the gate switches.
Part 2's up now, where theres some more buildings and more of the city/train station to other village.

Well, since I posted the videos, I've added A LOT more content. I've created a trade district, filled with market stalls and the likes.
I definetely want some help soon, I may purchase I brohoster server in the week. My hamachi server wouldn't handle 3+ people, haha.

Seeing things like this makes me really like Dokucraft(?). The game feels entirely different.

I love Dokucraft. The whole map is designed around that texture pack, I have no idea how it looks default.
The original Minecraft texture pack is beautiful, but Doku takes it to a whole new level for me, haha.

Switch it back and post pictures so we can see how terrible it looks in default.

I can't wait to join. My friend's server got fried so I haven't been able to play in so long.

It looks horrible haha. The Dokucraft glowstone for example, is a lamp texture. And I've used it quite extensively haha.
Anyways, here's a picture spam of the default texture pack. Once again, I've created this whole thing using Dokucraft and it's catered too it entirely.

And we're back on the updated Dokucraft! So I can start again finally.
I'll probably test my hamachi server over the weekend see how many people it would be able to handle. Let me know if you want to join :)

So I've been testing different versions of Dokucraft too see which fits the theme better. (Light, Dark, High).
I'm digging the High at the moment, as I'm aiming for a gritty medival style city. I've been planning out other cities with my friend and we thought it would be cool to base some ideas off of Game of Thrones. He suggested 'The Wall' and a 'Winterfel' style town (colder environment, greyer buildings etc.) I'd like to hear any ideas if anyone has any?

I suggest Dark, myself. It gives the town way more of a rough and tough, thickly smoking place, I'd find it relatively realistic for what you're looking for.
By the way, if the Hamachi is up, could I join in?

I've been working on a few houses the past hour or so and getting coloured wool is a pain. Anyone know a mod where I can spawn whatever coloured wool I want?
I'll probably set the server up in an hour or so after my lunch. If anyone wants to join then, feel free to post :)

Uni's over! Can finally start getting back to this. We've added a few things since last update.
We're looking for builders, I'd prefer to see some work first, but we're looking for 3-4 people too help make various towns/buildings/interiors etc.!
I'm planning on re-doing alot of what has been made recently. They feel too rushed, but there's plenty of time. I'm definetely looking to change brick types as we get further into it. Theres another town I've made too, but it's a good 10-15 minute walk from this main hub.
I'll post pictures later, but if anyone wants to join do let me know, we're on quite alot and server is up pretty much 24/7.

So this is what we got up to last night.
Decided to make a hotel type thing and a castle called The Red Keep. Got the interiors to work on, but I'm quite happy with it.

We've been planning other towns and a bit of a back story for the server. We'll be setting up the server tonight and we're looking for 2-4 others to join and help build so we can progress quicker. We've got a ventrilo, so we'll all be in constant contact with each other.
We're thinking of starting some outposts/villages dotted around tonight, but any ideas im all ears.
