if you change the vram setting it uses a predefined amount not the actual amount you have which causes slow texture loading, i dont know of any reason you cant set the texture quality to whatever you want

No, I said that if units are not groupped, you should just type all units' names in the array. zero00, zero01, zero02, gamma08, sigma04, alpha03 etc., for example.

During our practice tonight in TAW I was in a fireteam with two other people. We decided to get in an M1a1 and proceeded to fuck major shit up. Our gunner shot down 4 FUCKING JETS. WITH A FUCKING TANK. We also killed 81 infantry and 3 armored and did the best on our team but that's besides the point. I'm still amazed at how the hell we managed to shoot down 4 jets.

Heh I remember playing awhile back me and my brother, and he challenged me to take his head off with a F35 Jet.
Safe to say I got as close as I could. (Me in the Jet.)
Also played around with me trying to get under his Little Bird. I got it but he never recorded it, only got me grazing the top and crashing under. :P

Because the "Video Memory" setting affects how much video memory the game can fill up with textures as opposed to maximum texture quality, and having that set to something above what's for your amount of VRAM (256MB for low, 512MB for medium, 1024MB for high and 1536MB for very high) it'll eventually have to start streaming lower quality textures rather than higher quality ones to avoid from running out of video memory.
Do note though that if your GPU has more than 1,5GB of VRAM that setting will have no side effects as Very High is tuned for that much VRAM.

upsmon script is best, its simple to use, doesn't require any client add-ons and the ai good

My older GeForce 8800 GT has 2280MB VRAM.

GL4 is pretty dope, ZEUS AI seems to not do much except allow the enemy to flank and spam smoke grenades
GL4 adds surrendering, interrogation, clearing of buildings, and cool shit like that
also adds a chance when a vehicle explodes that some of the surviving crew will be on fire when they get out, pretty fucking funny to see

Anyone else still play Armed Assault? It runs better on my computer and I can download all the RACS units from Armaholic. Really fleshes out their armed forces, makes it feel like a homegrown army with pieces of imported equipment. I love to play scenarios where RACS are defending their small island nation against the Russians with occasional US support.

It is VTOL, not V-TOL or VT-OL or VTO-L.

I was having such a good time last night. I reinstalled Armed Assualt and downloaded like EVERY RACS VECHILE I could find on Armaholic.
I started off with the Russians making a beach assault on a Southern Sharani Shore, I figure that RACS only have a few naval vessels and the Russians steamrolled through them so landing wasn't difficult. The RACS defense on the beach head was hastily constructed and it wasn't long before the Russians moved into a town behind the lines and the RACS forces fell back.
Than there was some intense urban fighting that night in a city to the West as the Russians moved in. It was awesome playing as the Russian sniper and picking off soldiers as they ran across the streets, than moving through the dark city without NVG's and running right into RACS guys with my Makarov and frantically unloading a mag into him. Russian helicopters occasionally flew through and pounded RACS armored positions and I think in the end it was a pretty even match.
