    Thanks everyone!

    It could be rotated so it looks like it's biting down on the filter, but only the teeth to the right will be biting on the filter, or it could be rotated back to its original position so it doesn't look like it's hanging down (but is still broken on the right side of the jaw).
    Well the broken off position adds a great deal of personality to the already very iconic model.
    I was just trying to find something to criticise

    It's a wonderful model and you should be proud!

    Now, I'm eager to see how it will look textured.

    Well... I've seen quite many people who tend to think of pyro as a cuty... obviously, it's just my point of view. anyway, the point remains... THAT HAT MUST GET INGAME!

    for the record i've never seen pyro as a girl...

    especially not a cute one...

    (mainly becuase i use svdl's unmasked pyro)

    and i think the people who do are very few

    I'm not good with editing skin tones, unfortunately, but a couple of my friends said they liked it.

    maybe get rid of the stripes?
    and for the tie(s) make the red ones base a little richer in color, it's dark red in the comic. and I think it would look better if the red one's suit and mask were a little more saturated and if the blue ones mask was a little less saturated

    I have mentioned this before but actually have this theory that pyro's real identity is Schlitzie
    mainly due to how similar he looks to svld's pyroface, wich btw is very realistic to what his face would actually look like, being a composition of his headshape and the concept.

    I mean with pyro's headshape and size he probably has Microcephaly as well as Schlitzie

    Other similarities is that Schlitzie gets mistaken for a girl (wich was intentional, "to add to the mystique of his odd appearance")
    and pyro is supposed to be stupid right? Try retarded.

    Is the paintable part white or is the whole thing white? If the paintable part is white, just go to the .vmt file and find the line "$colortint_base" "{"VALUES here based on the color"}". Then add UNDER THAT LINE, "$color2" "{"type here the color you want. ex. 68 48 52"}" You should be able to get colors now. Refer to TF2 wiki site for the paint color codes.

    i'd love to see something little shop of horrors related in TF2.

    but i just can't think where it could be aplicable.

    Somebody asked him to just decrease the texture size, and his reply was:


    In other words:
    Hey, I can understand why you assumed I meant that, but really the point was that most people who have performance problems (including me) are limited by CPU power, not GPU. That means texture size has little to no effect on performance for the majority of players. Edit: Eh whatever, did it anyway while I was fixing some issues with it. Have fun.

    he didn't juat make a gif though, it's actually paintable, though releasing it would be useleass since it needs to be coded into the game in order to actually work...

    How exactly would you release a mod with paintable weapons?

    It can't be done without it being coded in, and robin said styles/painting for weapons is a no no.

    Heavy badge updated. With careful thought and advice from friends, I decided to take out the hammer & sickle and replace it with the heavy badge instead since that communist logo is still banned from other places. It would have been great but i dont want to touch on sensitivities right now. Finished the texture on the badge and it should be ready to export in TF2 later today. Now its off to make the scout's or pyro's garrison cap. Time to roll the dice!

I don't get it too but just to be safe on Valves side and to increase the chance of this getting in, i had to take it out and put the fist in. It turned out satisfactory at best.     Well in Germany a lot of the new weapons shouldn't be allowed in due to the blood, but valve didn't really care at all.

    I doubt it would be any problem at all.

    Ha! They cencoserd the Ubersaw and the Axtinguisher first, but after those weapons they didn't care anymore. Good job Valve! :buddy: I don't really care at all, because I'm using an uncut patch.

    Well I worked it all out, despite the model viewer acting funny. And it it possible as a mod, but seeing as it would essentially mean each color having its own vmt ( or making the people who download it change the vmt parameter ) I see it is a pointless/work heavy endeavor

    Obviously it can be done, as proven by that GIF I made a good couple of months back

    It's pointless to release it as a mod though as it wont function ingame properly.
    It is a pointless task.

    I did it as a joke because of daimao was making paintable hats at the time.

    After seeing that the iron curtain hat the hammer & sickle on it, there is no reason for me to not use it anymore. Opened the back-up file and incorporated the texturing i just made on the other version. Quick work that turned out decently.
