Honestly if they do make a PSV Slim, I really do wonder how much slimmer it can get. Isn't already pretty damn thin as it is?
And has anyone noticed Sonys trend? PS1/PS2/PS3/PSP/PSV. Notice, the last three sound the same!

The second there's news of a new Monster Hunter game (or MPH3) coming out on the Vita i'm buying this sucker.
Otherwise I think I'm gonna wait it out and see if it's really worth the money.

my first edition bundle shipped today, lumines also shipped today and i just received rayman origins
boxes and game carts are so small omgz
kinda shitty that the console itself wont hold the save files, i mean it could just include 1 or 2 gigabytes and that would be enough for a lot of game saves...

While I was at EBGames today to check out their PSV demo, I over heard one of the clerks warning a customer that they have gotten two defective pre-order PSV's. He didn't go into a whole lot of detail, but this is basically why I'm waiting to get one. I knew there would be issues and this solidifies that theory.
Of course this could be an isolated incident, however in one store there are two defective copies? That's probably only 2% of what they received.

Just knowing you can use the second stick for a camera in MHFU is damn near worth the purchase for me. No more claw! No more stretches after every hunt!

Got mine.
My initial thoughts:
- It's nowhere near as bulky as I thought.
- It's about as light as a slim PSP.
- I miss the XMB. I prefer it over the balls.
- The music that plays in the menus gets annoying eventually.
- During the initial setup, a bug cropped up when trying to log into PSN that didn't allow me to finish setting the handheld up because there is a system update. I had to skip the PSN login step and do it after the initial setup was completed.
- The PSN store is there in it's entirety. Purchased and downloading UMvC and Metal Slug Anthology for it right now.
- Charger and USB cable are the same, like how iPod and iPhone cables are. I like that.
I got it early by pre-ordering at the local Sony Style store. If you have one near you and interested, find out if they have them in stock too.

Don't forget that it feels good in the hands. When I tried the demo it felt very comfortable and easy to hold. Like it was meant to be there. That's always good for a hand held. No one wants a clunky awkward game, they want a comfortable grip.Got mine.

I've pre-ordered the Vita using Amazon's deal and it should hopefully be here on the 22nd.
Definitely getting Rayman and Wipeout, and as I've been hearing how fantastic the d-pad is for fighters I'll be picking up BlazBlue as well. I'm not concerned in the slightest about the quality of the Vita itself as I've been hearing nothing but positive comments from FEB buyers, but I am a little worried about how it will do sales wise.
Despite that, quite excited.
America and Canada could both pre-order something called the "First Edition Bundle" which nabbed them the Vita a week earlier than everyone else.

I'm still deciding between Army Corps of Hell, UMvC3, or Wipeout 2048 as my first Vita game. I have no interest in Uncharted, and nothing else really screams out at me.

i played a tiny bit of rayman origins and i don't really like how characters are drawn or the humour, is it just me
gameplay is better than the original game though

You must be crazy, I downloaded the demo for shits and giggles and was blown away by the art, I agree the humor's crude, but really does anyone give a shit? It's solid platforming, kind of regretting not trying this on the consoles when it came out, but I'm definitely picking it up now.

i said how the characters are drawn like in cutscenes, the stages/backgrounds are really good
i dont get why enemies turn into bubbles before dying though, whats up with that, or is it something that will be revealed later on in the game
also lumines is best game

I want to want Vita, but there are no good games yet.
And I'd still have to use my old, fat, slightly cracked first generation PSP because I can't use any of the games with the Vita.

I recently received a memory card, it's half the size of a nickel.

I also want the Vita but the $249.99 price tag is scary. Especially since I want a memory card that can hold a lot of stuff so I'd probably go for the 32GB one for $99.99. I do however LOVE the fact that games are cheap. I saw them at $29.99, $39.99, and the most (the only game really, Uncharted) at $49.99.
I'd be spending $379.97($429.37 with Tax).

Got Shinobido 2, since it looks cool to me. I also got Dungeon Alliance, but I think I'll return it when I pick up my Vita Wednesday, and get something else, like UMvC3 or BlazBlue

I haven't heard of anything other than the PSP emulator. Can anyone confirm if PS1 games are possible? I heard that they are, but only through Remote Play with a PS3 that has that PS1 title on it.

I picked up my Vita today along with a 4 gig memory card. I have no more money until this Friday, so I didn't get to pick up any games. The screen looks really nice though. Let me know if there's anything you specifically want to know about.
I thought there was a Wipeout 2048 demo on the PSN marketplace? I can't seem to find it anywhere.
edit: Netflix looks godly on this device. Add me on PSN, I need friends on this thing.
