If they only cared about the idling program, that would have just found a way to disable that, rather than put a cap on the drop system.

Well they sorta did with the 'cheat detector'. And then put a cap on it because back then, they considered idling 'cheating'.

So today I decided to try and get a machina. I only had a reclaimed and some other stuff, and a trader said he'll give it to me for 2 reclaimed. I say I only have the reclaimed and a scrap, so I also put up a vintage force-a-nature. He asks if I can also put up some other things, but I'm all out, so just as I'm about to click cancel he says "How about a crate then" so I add one and get the trade.

Bottom line: I like it when there are traders who I can haggle with.

lovely thing happened to me today
i was moving my level 3 sentry to another location, but i heard that a heavy is right around the corner, so i went to shoot him to buy time for my sentry.
and guess what.
it was heavy medic pair, they just killed a soldier, so heavy was on low health.
i shot two times at the heavy and he DIED.
then i shot the medic.

and that's why i love tf2

It's not a projectile. It's still a hitscan weapon, it just leaves a tracer effect in the air to show where you fired from, making it blatantly obvious to observant enemies as to where you are.

A day or two after the Towering Pillar came out, I was totally mesmerized and wanted it really badly. But back then, of course, there was no trading, and crafting was a bitch.

Then I idled for like an hour, and came back to three items.
One of them was the Towering Pillar.
I was seriously so overjoyed I actually wasn't sure if it was real.


...now I miss my Towering Pillar. :(

Technically a bullet is a projectile. Just a really fast moving one!

I was in a match earlier in which my team contained 5 snipers, 3 spies, a heavy and myself as engie. We were getting our asses kicked, my sentry was the only thing preventing them from pushing the cart non-stop until they won.

Eventually the heavy clearly got pissed off because he was yelling into the mic for people to change classes, problem being that he spoke in russian so nobody was listening. (I don't speak Russian but I could clearly hear "5 snipers")

Eventually he just walked up to me and started listing off orders in Russian, followed up by trying desperately to translate what he said into English for me. Thanks to his attempts at speaking English we devised a plan to push the entire enemy team back, set up a complete engie nest beside the tracks and win the match.

Teamwork is awesome, fuck the language barrier.
Of course, it was mainly his leadership that did it, I was just the engie that set shit up where he told me to.

I played so much this last week that I got all but two of my drops before that update and only got one medic crate. I then opened the crate with my lone key, hoping for a medigun or syringe gun, only to get the strange crossbow (if anyone is interested in it, PM me). I opened a second crate I got through trade after buying another key and got the mirror.



The first week I had TF2 I got the Magnificent Mongolian, I still have it equipped to my heavy. :D The first day I got TF2 one of my best friends gave me a bunch of his spare weapons to try. More recently I helped my friend by giving him a refined and reclaimed so he could have enough to trade for it (TS Bill's).
Some time in March, right after I had saved enough metal for a blighted beak, I got a Grimm Hatte in a random drop and was ecstatic (I have twice as many hours playing Medic as I do any other class). Now I have my medic decked out with Grimm Hatte, Balaclavas are Forever Blighted Beak, and Meet the Medic. <3 TF2
