Expected one of them to be an Equalist after the Cabbage Corp part, knew it wouldn't be Asami when he offered her the power glove
because amon is absolutely right. benders do treat non-benders like cock a lot of the time. he's just going about it the wrong way and probably doesn't even believe a word he's saying. sorry for no caps. my phone bugs out on reply forms.
There are more subtle ways to perform a plot twist but this show is still fun to watch. If not for the fighting scene choreography alone. This episode was actually the first time in the entire series where you see an adult air bender at work.
tenzin had that awesome moment where he rode a air cycle thing, it was so badass.
The episode was predictable.
If Airbenders weren't so pacifistic you'd imagine that they could kick ALOT of ass,
Yeah, airbending has so much potential.
"I'mma just like, remove all the oxygen around your head for a while."
Does anyone know where i can get the latest episode? I missed it this morning :/
Edit: http://www.justin.tv/backuptoons/b/318719078 get it while you can.
giant robots
http://www.avatarchapters.tv/watch-c...-aftermath.php
That one is better, has HD and shit
I didn't realize this show has already started. Watching the newest epi right now, but I gotta say I am really happy they made it. Maybe it's the nostalgia, but this show is really good so far.
Tenzin kicking ass and shit.
I have to admit, it was pretty obvious once Cabbage Corp was framed.
Also, what Tarlok says at the beginning just screams "uh, guys, I totally didn't want Lin to get the responsibility for the Equalisty attack, really. It's not like I would get more power from that. And that I would discredit one of the only things that could stop MY EQUALIST TROOPS-- I mean, Amon. Who is totally not me."
And then it turns on him, because Lin can do things she wasn't able to before due to her being chief of police. Something tells me Tarlok is in for a world of hurt now.
haa haa hee hee hoo hoo
holy shit like I keep telling myself this show cannot keep getting any better, but every episode impresses me more and more. Like the way Lin and Tenzin were fighting those mech's was fucking epic, actually the giant robots being in the show is pretty fuckin awesome in itself . If someone would of asked me before the show started what I picture it to turn out like, I would of never guessed like this honestly.
Can't say I was surprised to see Mr. Sato as an Equalist supporter, but them machines sure are interesting. The way I look at it- and it may not be particularly the case- but it makes sense that Asami is an ally because she's a non-bender (something the core cast has been lacking as not to demonize non-benders) and because she knows how to operate her father's technology [for the most part].
It will also be interesting to see how Bei Fong operates "outside the law" (on a side note: anyone else kind of hoping the metal bender Bolin and Mako tied up- whose name I didn't catch- becomes a recurring character as like Lin's accomplice? I think it'd be cool. In fact, them metal benders in general are cool and it will be nice if there is a prison break episode following their capture.)
This show just keeps getting better and better.
It's odd how, even though it's a large differeciation from the original series, it still maintains a semblence 'logical continuity'...
...That is to say it doesn't look too out of place compared to the original series.
On Lin:

I was really hoping that Asami was a badguy so I wouldn't have to wade through more shipping war love triangle crap on /co/ for the rest of the season.
Damn you Bryke.
They'd probably do it anyway
I guess with her combat training given by her Equalist dad and her use of the electric glove, Asami will be the equivalent of a good guy "equalist".
Also it's a cliche when hero cops quit and go outside the law against the chief. Just a tad interesting given this time the chief decides to quit herself.
Hmm I might be completely wrong when I say the Metalbending officers seemed to have a Bagua(Airbending) fighting stance when they were searching estate. Just like how learning Waterbending techniques help improve Lightningbending in Firebenders, maybe Airbending techniques help Metalbending in Earthbenders?
Sato must be hella rich if he can build a giant door and an army of mechs made of pure platinum
Maybe platinum isn't as rare in the ATLA universe?
Also once again Lin is fucking incredible.
Edited:
also is it just me or did Tenzin's airbending style seem different than Aang's?
The true protagonist of the Avatar universe is one non-bender and his dream of making it big, one cabbage at a time.
Lin at the end: "Yeah let's break some rules!"
"MY CABBAGE CORP" is probably my favorite line in the series.
Can Platinum Conduct electricity? Electrocute them
Remember when someone hoped Mr. Sato would be the Iroh-style comic relief guy? Yeah.
i want to see some firebenders that can use blue fire like azula.
Yes, but it is an order of magnitude lower than silver, copper, gold, aluminum and iron. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrical_resistivity_and_conductivity
I think what the writers were trying to get across is platinum is very corrosion resistant and so can remain pure (and thus "unbendable") for longer than say, steel.
That being said, someone should teach Korra to draw the moisture out of the air like Katara and force the pilots to eject or risk drowning.
Wasn't Azula the ONLY fire bender that could do that? Not even Iroh,Aang,Jong-Jong,Zuko,Ozai and even the fucking dragons couldn't produce blue flames. I just think it's due her batshit craziness that allowed her to put so much intensity into her bending that she produced much hotter more hate filled attacks than most.
couldn't one of the dragons produce purple flames?
the dragons produced rainbow flames because they're fabulous~
Someone should make a compilation of all the Cabbages scenes in the original series.![]()
I love this show much. I love how all the benders have thought up techniques to use their skills like how the earth bender troops raid by walking their hands in front of them similar how police hold their gun. Also I loved the part where Tenzin used airbending to drop Korra's fall and to create the wind around him to move forward.

Is there anywhere a big family tree picture with the faces and names of everyone? I'm still rather confused about who is who and their relationships?

I've posted it before and I'll post it again: If you need links for anything - episodes to clips to promo art - it's in the /co/ pastebin http://pastebin.com/AacGkyk8
