Strict rules never end well, they just make the user more annoyed.
Ok time for me to stop being useless.
Facepunch doesn't want to let me post any images for some reason, but I made some crappy concept art for some sheathes for Demoman weapons.
Basically, he'd get weapon specific ones like a plaid cloth sheath with gold trimming for Claidheamh Mor (with tears in the sides for where the sword's "teeth" go), a plain, brown leather sheath with some iron or grey trimmings for Eyelander, and a katana-esque sheath on his hip for the Zatoichi.
The thing I always thought of for this is that the sheathes would go with distinct weapons, and when you had a weapon besides your melee out, they were actually sheathed. However, I don't know how difficult it would be to make these so talk condescendingly to me if you wish.
Facepunch still won't let me put in that picture... And it is a PNG.

Thank you, but it's moreso how it won't let me upload straight from my computer... But as for the idea, what do ya think?
Just use Dropbox or Imageshack. Also sounds good but I don't know if it will work.
I actually kinda prefer it glowing white rather then teamcolored.
You gotta upload first to a image hosting site before you can post the image.
Got it workin'! Anyway, here's the crappy concept art for those sheathes.
Not to scale, of course. Plus, those are place holder straps on the Claidheamh Mor one. And it needs holes on the sides.

The model and texture is in a different style.

Perhaps a mock officer uniform? While I get that this is casual wear, that idea just came into my head.
Ok, legitimately someone should make a flip-flops AND sneakers replacement for the scout, that are BUNNY SLIPPERS! :D I think it'd be hilarious. And submit it as well if it's good enough. Someone should definitely take a shot at this.
ok... FINE... you talked me into it.
working on the kepresh again. I can't figure out what to put on the soldier's version, the logo bugs me.
Did you look into leather-working tools? I looked for a bit and one of the more fitting things I saw was a rawhide mallet. I know it is pretty much a regular mallet, but with the right visual flair I think it might work.
This video is pretty good.
It will take me a while to learn all the stuff, I made this crap now, and I got Blender like few hours ago.
I know it will suck in advance, but I'll finish it anyway.
Now with 100% more gay!
Looking very nice so far! The only thing I could think for the soldier was an Ankh of some kind. Maybe a tough looking one?
EDIT: I for some reason just got the visual image of an ankh and it's little "arms" replaced with a pair of human arms flexing.
How about a pair of blind shades for the Demo like his dear old Ma wears? You could remove the eyepatch from the demo to do it
Well hey, at least you actually made something. When I first got Blender I just stared at it with a deer in the headlights look, made a couple of random boxes and other shapes, moved them around and then closed it. Haven't tried again. I should really start watching and reading some tutorials![]()
Didn't the creator release that? He uploaded this pack onto TF2Mods with high resolution textures, various fixes, a style for the Jeepcap and "Fixed the [Market Gardner] to use the intended /advertised configuration" which I can only assume is what you're asking for. Here's the link http://tf2mods.net/mod.php?id=171&do=display
i dont like rigging
Requesting Professor's Calculus's hair and hat as a hat for the Engineer.

Yes, I was aware of that, but thank you for bringing it up to me again since I forgot to download it! But the thing is, I want the half open minepick kind of style to be in the ACTUAL game. See what I mean? And since the Splendid Screen has useless styles (That I love) and barely add anything to the model itself, i want to see the Market Gardener with an in-game variation.
I would love if someone proposed this to Robin sometime.
looks retarded on soldier
that's some really odd proportions to be honest, might i suggest looking at rebbacus' shirtless soldier for the anatomy
That Demo and Soldier hat reminds me, was this Bishop hat ever made for the Spy? I think I saw it mentioned during one of the earlier emporiums.

Sorry for newbie quesiton, but might anyone know how can I combine 2 or more meshes into one?
Just the hat? We need all of that. Even if the weapons wouldn't particularly make much sense![]()
I never understood why only red heavy got to have the old detailed style
Pffff what are ya talking about? Pope hat for Spy, Pope cape miscellaneous for Spy, lantern for (very strange) new cloak watch, and (overly huge) staff for Spy knife! It all works so well!
New item set: The French Judas
They DO accept custom animations, but they're more work so they actually have to want them. Looks like my hopes for the Ballista getting in went down the drain, even more than before :(
:C Are you still going to make custom anims for it though? 'Cause I still wanna see that Ballista. Also, I still need to know what happened to that metal plate on the Heavy's cranium! Did you just... remove it?
"Oh god more work, don't bother us."![]()
Well the Crusader's Crossbow should've required some custom work but instead they just copied stuff from the Huntsman so that doesn't entirely rule out your Ballista![]()
Speaking of such, has anyone contacted the creator of the crossbow and seen if he wants to make a custom projectile for it?
That video is what helped me start into blender modelling 4 months ago. It's the only tutorial on TF2 modelling i ever watched.
I didn't know the soldier was a body builder.
Oh come on. It's not that hard.
I actually find rigging to be fairly easy, so long as I know which bones to rig to
Also, those suspenders look weird going over the strap for his bag. I'm not sure how you'd go about making it look like the strap for the bag goes over them, but if you can figure out how to do so, it will look much better, in my opinion.
That's just the nature of the skin I'm working with, but as it stands I think it helps make the two seem adequately different.
