Is that Super2xSaI?
Hes not accepting my offering.
Shears started to have more uses now.
Besides collecting quickly wool, you can now collect vines, leaves, tall grass, and break cobwebs as fast as with a sword
Is it just me or did Notch also remove the Mouse Smoothing? Nothing seems to change when I hit F8 now
I'm pretty sure it's just antialiasing.
Don't think they intended for people to do machinima with the prerelease.
Yup, its a stronghold, and its a goddamn mess. It around 20y and its straddling a ravine, some lava pools and its all right in the middle of one of the mineshaft clusterfucks.

Somewhere around 25 y, you know when you reach it.
So far I haven't found anything in it, but I'm still looking. Pics soon.

Silverfish seem to be a fucking huge pain in the ass to me.
This is awesome, the biomes look great.
The whole point of silverfish is to attack in swarms.
Has the height for maps increased? It doesn't feel like it.
Hasn't.
Hmm, If you drop an item and pick it back up, you get an "infinite" version.
And double blocking with a sword causes you to sprint.
Facepunch...I have a story to share.
This is the story of a simple man, to a new world. A man who loved dirt.
Right as night fell, I was excited. I would have a chance to see this new creature, the Enderman!
[I was in creative mode, so I wasn't scared to walk around.]
As I walk around, I hate note of all the beautiful sights, and as I look at the top of a mountain , lo and behold, I see a dark figure right on the top! I knew it could be no other then the Enderman!
As I walk closer, I notice he was holding a dirt block. 'Interesting' I thought.
With my cursor pointing straight at his head, I remember they can teleport to you.
He turns around and looks straight back at me.
I look straight at him and stop in my tracks.
It feels like forever, when we were staring at each other. In my right hand I hold my bow, in my left, my arrows. I was almost tempted to ready fire...
In an instant, the Enderman disappeared into a puff of smoke.
I look around, seeing where it teleported to...
then something moved me.
I turn around, and it's right there. I'm looking straight at it, as it pushes me further. I notice its mouth is wide open, as if it's trying to scare me?
I simply laugh a little, and joke around that it's hugging me. The Enderman seemed to respond to that joke, and stopped pushing me.
I find myself staring at him once again, as he is staring back at me, not making a move. Not teleporting away. Just staring.
SHK-
I know that sound all too well. 'A skeleton must be attacking me', I thought.
Then, I notice a figure behind the Enderman. The Skeleton attacker.
Endermans' mouth is gaping once again in anger, and he turns around.
The battle was over in 3 strikes. Enderman destroyed the Skeleton before it could strike back.
"Wow, Enderman, that was awesome!" I say.
Naturally, he doesn't say a word. He does, however, walk up to me and hug me.
From behind me, I hear the sound of rattling bones.
"I'll take care of this one." I say to the Enderman.
He has other plans.
As I pull on the string on my bow, he violently attacks the skeleton, while emitting a terrible gas from his body. It dies before I can finish readying my bow.
Before I can even think a spare thought, he disappears into a puff of smoke.
I turn around to find him attacking another skeleton. In his bloody frenzy I notice he has 2 arrows stuck in his body.
Not knowing how much health he has, I desperately ready my bow to kill the skeleton...
But it's too late.
As my arrow hits the target skeleton with deadly precision, I hear a scream like no other. No doubt it came from the Enderman.
I feel tears well up in my eyes, even though we just met a few minutes ago.
Enderman doesn't fall, or seem to even notice the arrow sticking out of his forehead.
He turns to me, expressionless. I try to run over to him...
He disappears into a cloud of white smoke.
The first Enderman I see will no doubt be the best one I will ever see. I do not know his intentions, or why he fought for me, but all I know is he did. That's all that matters.
Here is the spot where he was slain.
jesus fuck that was longer and more autistic then i intended
God, I just spent the past ~30 minutes or so fixing up an NPC village. Adding doors, fixing the buttfucked roads, stairs, ect...looks much better now, though.
Wow, OP pictures look fucking exciting, shame I have to re-install my mods, which will be a mighty pain in the ass
didn't find a village yet, not even while flying in creative :(
I came back to our humble base after a good spelunk, to find my friend sparring away two spiders and a skeleton. I drew my bow and picked off the skeleton which enabled him to dispatch one spider, where I pierced the other with my arrow.
FUCKING TEAMWORK!
Sorry for posting off topic, but what is that in your avatar
What the hell is that purple glowing hole thing they find at 6:50? Some kind of natural nether portal?
Holy shit is that based on something that actually happend?
No it hasn't, clouds were moved to 129 so they would not clip through buildings. Mountains actually look more like mountains now however.
Edited:
Anyone else crashing a lot when smelting things?
Central courtyard
This area is fairly intact, seems to be jail cells here. There are similar cells scattered across the thing.
It seems to be populated by a race of disembodied torch-people
This place is a goddamn labyrinth, its real easy to get lost. I've yet to find any loot, but I have liberated a nice collection of bricks and iron bars.
Are there villages yet?I haven't found any yet, just an abandoned mine (which was awesome)
Yup
;_;
Holy shit strongholds look amazing, if only those could be the average dungeon instead.
It's interesting to see when R33MIX gets bored.
This is awesome

Been playing with friends over Hamachi and built a mushroom city, too bad endermen keep stealing our god damn mushroom stalks and placing them randomly everywhere.
Thanks, Alan! Used your seed and MineEdit (I searched for 3 days fuck it) and spawned in perfectly. 25y is correct.
Doggone it. Playing the seed PreRelease is like playing Minecraft on ridiculous mode.
Yes.
Yeah they really need to touch up on the generation of the abandoned mineshafts. First of all, put crevices after them in the generation code, and then do some checks to make sure they're not being made in mid-air - and if they are, either don't place the shaft, or add some sort of bridge. Also, some Stronghold-esque rooms would be cool as well, like some minecart rooms, rest rooms, etc. I'd also wish they were generated from a surface point (a village?) so you could walk into them like a miner.
Really loving the Abandoned Library. Found a chest inside with paper and books.
I found a very mysterious unnamed block...
It has the texture of a stone block, exactly the same texture.
It takes longer to mine than a regular stone block, even with a diamond pick.
I discovered it with TMI.
When you break it there are smoke particles in it's place, but no item drop at all.
What is Notch planning?
I don't know if I'm late or not, but I wanted to share to see what theories you people have.
Edit: How the fuck is this dumb in any way? I simply had not encountered silverfish in any way before I found this block.
Those are the blocks that have a chance of containing Silverfish I think.
Hmm, I'll try upping the difficulty and mining it out to see what happens.
Theory confirmed: Silverfish spawns when you mine it
