    It is too late now, but you probably should have held off on submitting that.

    The texture, itself, looks good, but, on the model, it looks bad.
    To elaborate, the white areas look randomly splotched on and give a very cluttered feel. The body of the watch is modeled so that it looks like one piece, meaning that those white areas would have to been made white later. Why would they be made white? It hardly looks like something a man of stealth would wear because of it. In fact, the white areas almost look like unfinished areas- areas that were also meant to be black, but then were never done.

    It would make a heck of a lot more since if those white areas were the same metal color as the rest of the main body. It would look a lot more sleek and less distracting. (sort of like a previous wip of it)


    I'm saying this because I really do like these spy-tech items that you are making, but I don't think that this one is as good as it could have been. Idk, maybe some people like it the way that it is; this is just my suggestion.
    They are like wood pistol grip inserts, except they are ivory(???) and on a watch. I'll have primrose take a look though. Thank you for the feedback!

    What the heck are you talking about?

    It doesn't look like it was all meant to look like one piece, there's screws holding it together on the sides, the white area look like the undercarriage of the watch and how is white a wrong colour for a spy?????

    To be honest, I don't like the white sides much at all, and I think it would look better greyish, but not as dark as the faceplate.


    edit: added a shitty paintover, made the white bit darker, and made the whatever on the left pic, shinier.

    They both look good, the gray looks a little better, but the white fits more in line with tf2's 1950's era style (inb4 tf2 has a style lololol?).

    Though come to think of it, that reminds me more of 1980's style gadgetry

    I textured the thing, you can't even see the sides when you use it, might I add, when textured with a grey-esque pattern, it didn't feel natural to me, even if you can't see it

    Do you guys model by making multiple objects and then joining them together, or working with a single object and just making the topology flow adding verts where needed until you get what you're looking for?

    I've also seen where people make a really high res mesh, then normal map it onto a low res "cage". I don't quite understand that either; I understand normal maps, but the cage process confuses me

    Indeed the models are really polygonal, as they have hard edges and that stuff, but then the whole mesh is moothed so it appears to be hig res/poly

    Well I like that structure better, but the critics against the overall box design and patterns were right. Taper the boxes down so they aren't so straight and the patterns itself is a different step altogether. You could almost go for a 3x3 checker pattern with a class logo in each square. Then you can make like I dunno, snowflakes made out of bullets. The coloration needs to be brightened up as well, looks too dark.

    Whether you use any of my or anyone else's advice is up to you, but just keep going. You're doing more than I am.
    Right now I have the boxes slightly tapered, not very noticeable, but it works. I'll work on the coloration and patterns in the morning, see what I can come up with.

    just have the various animations (circling, confetti-styled, glow-style) and allow people to import their own decals to use

    Actually it has a similar (heavy and loud) custom sound in Gamebanana, and no rev sound (yeah, be prepared for ninja heavies)

    Did you manage to fix the particle problem on a weapon ? (When you taunt it spawn billions of particle and it stay when you switch weapons). I would love to know :3

    I think sniper's jarate is now a potion to get to another dimension.

    Shortstop as a pistol works as a world model..
    Viewmodel is invisisiblelelee and it fires 2 feet over your head.
    Yeah firing positions get messed up, not sure if its the thirdperson/thirdperson_maya mode or the itemtest weapons, but if you spawn a bot and make it fire it should have the correct firing position.
