    Did you check your $basetexture line to make sure it pointed to engineer and not soldier?

    Has anyone had any troubles as of late with team colors not showing in sdk? Both of my textures load and the register fine, but sdk doesn't want to show the change when I switch to the other skin. It only happens to some items.

    There could also be some characteristic item taped to the end of the barrel. The only thing I can think of right now would be a baseball, and that would just be dumb, but I think you get the idea.
    I thought a bit more about this. I guess such an item should have something to do with whatever special traits the gun is intended to have. If you want a gun that does increased damage to people who are in the water, attach a battery. If you want a gun that increases the Scout's movement speed, attach a stopwatch. If you want a gun that explodes when the Scout dies, attach a grenade, etcetera.

    A more neutral, Scout-related item to attach would be a dogtag. I'm not sure how that could be done without looking dumb, though.

    As I said, I think this looks pretty good. Maybe the right side (Spy's left) should overlap more over the left side (Spy's right) though, like this:

    What should I do to make it less like the scattergun? I'm not going to add a stock as was suggested earlier.
    It isn't different from the scattergun very much silhouette wise. Some ideas:

    Make the barrel very badly sawn off. Include exposed metal and chips/scratches galore. Make one barrel slightly longer, and both cuts at odd angles. Remember, its a junk gun. He didn't find a pristine set of barrels in a junkpile now, did he? Possibly make the barrels flared, as if they exploded at the end? Example:



    Maybe attach a "Skeleton Stock" to the wood grip. I know you said you didn't want a stock, but i think it could be cool. Like one of these:



    Have the pipes embedded into the wood grip.

    Also, make the lever curve around somehow. The scout pulls back on the levers loop in the reload animation, and on yours, there is no loop to pull on. Here is a quick MS paint mockup:



    That way, it is different and functional.

    back to the goggles. new strap. some textures applied. frame and strap cushion made paintable.

    The original jarate has a different texture for the urine with a different vmt. Mine has the jar and urine together. I'm planning my work flow right now to see how i'm going to separate it or if i can just point the vmt to the original jarate texture. But right now im thinking too the it may be a good idea for it to be not TOO similar to the jarate. For all we know, we can slap in a label "lame juice" and you wouldn't know the difference! only the sniper knows. :)
    The way the texture is now, it could be something you can found in Modern Warfare. Sorry, it looks too realistic, im ok with the rest of your models, but not with this one

    hey mod emporium, i gots a question about a mod i saw once even though it sounds extremely simple. i saw this screenshot a long time ago of someone who had invisible character viewmodel hands, with visible weapons, so that they're kind of floating around.

    was this something i missed that was common or popular? is there a download for anything like that? i was specifically looking for it when I was using the oldschool/low poly mod.
