I would suggest a few books by Neal Shusterman, he writes novels about paranormal/weird things, mostly for young adults but I find them to be very interesting.
Here's a few that I've read:
Downsiders:
It's about a city of people living in the sewers and subway tunnels of New York. This one is great, even if it isn't too paranormal.
Full Tilt:
This one is creepy, there's an amusement park that gets into your head and causes nightmarish events to occur in the park.
The Eyes of Kid Midas:
I thought that this book was okay, but it features an SCPesque pair of sunglasses that causes wishes to come true, with a sinister twist.
Everlost:
Two kids are killed in a car accident but find themselves in a purgatory where you sink into the ground if you stay still too long. This one is my personal favorite of his novels, it's also a trilogy.
I read these books and loved them before I found SCP, I hope you like them too!

Can anyone help me finding this one SCP file where the Task Force is supposed to investigate some kind of object in a Chinese village or some kind of ghetto street, but as they get closer the eventually find this long, unending hallway. I know this description isnt enough, but I've been trying to look for this particular one for days now

Found a little typo in 1723:
does not affect the subjects ability.
During the investigation that resulted in SCP-1723s capture, A small datebook was found in the subjects cell.
"I a" is also found at the end of one of the addenda.

Ok, so I finished making my mini-173 today; I'm going to let it dry over the weekend, fire it on Monday, then paint it on Tuesday. Interest will probably have evaporated by then, but success will be mine.

I kind of get a J SCP idea from this
Basically 19-49 driver less cars with ducks painted on them following a van with the same artwork with "Mother" or "Mom" written on it targeting a single "victim" and crashing into his/her car in a giant cluster-fuck.

So I've been getting really into SCP lately and I noticed while reading the thread you guys are pretty accepting of peoples randomly made up SCP files they want to share. I've had this idea, though... I don't know if it can be considered an SCP. Try and write it and share y/n? (I wouldnt try submitting it to the actual SCP website, I know better than that
)

I could see a SCP game done in the style of half-life. At the beginning, it's like a normal day at work as a scientist or guard or something there. Then suddenly theres like a SCP breach. Instead of having recurring enemies, you have different all the time.

Me and a buddy were thinking about doing an experimental source test close to this. You view a quick scene of a few SCP's being used including a brief glance at SCP-173 (one of my least favorite) and a glance at SCP-447 being used momentary. I am sure I could model and set it up but I doubt he could stay with the map building enough to finish it. I still want to do a SCP-447 animation but that is completely separate from source sadly.

I couldn't think of any other humanoid keter SCPs at the time.

You could replace the HECU with some dudes from the GOC or whatever, to fill in the action side of it. And the rest of the enemies could be hostile SCPs, which you'd have to evade or, in the case of a select few, fight.
Running into a section of the facility infested with an outbreak of SCP-610 would be brilliantly scary, but it wouldn't be a matter of cowering in the corner like most horror games opt for these days because they can - at least as far as the player would be concerned - be shot enough that they'd stop attacking.
I think this is a triple-A idea for a Source mod you've got here.

Nightmare House 2 did something similar, didn't it? Your subtitles would just randomly get spammed with creepy shit and it would never be explained why.
