also, we totally need to include a reference to that time an entire Task Force almost got killed by infinitely spawning amounts of pasta

I am totally up for it if I had a good mapper (like you) on the scene. I can model, texture and compile to source but I still fall short in non robotic animations and things like bump maps (which I could easily learn). I am sure with a little work we could make something really cool.
Set up a Dropbox and invite some contributors.
I'll come in and do some mapping for you guys if you want, I've been lacking a project to do for a while now.
Make a thread in "Valve games and mods", maybe more people will join.
If you want an example for me to map, I'll happily do it.
You could have the guards get crazy and write shit over the walls in reaction to whats happening. Kind of like Ratman. You would have official arrows which were there before the breach while the scrobbles on walls would advice you not to follow those and go in the other direction.
You could also have like many scrobbles so it seems like its made by more people. When in reality its only one man who has gone insane and has multiple personalities which comes trough as his emotions.
That's not a word!
Most of the staff spend their time drinking coffee a room away from Cthulhu (or maybe even God himself), so I don't think you'd be liable to get anybody flipping out and writing on the walls. If it were done by totally sane and normal people like the writings you see in L4D, just to warn you or give useful information, then it'd make a bit more sense.

We should do this as soon as we have some content. I'd do something, but at the most I could make a promotional image or two once we have some models.
I really think this can go well but I don't think it should expand into to huge of a 'team'. As It stands I think 2 modelrs and two map makers are good for what we are trying to achive. When we do start makeing stuff which I feel is pretty soon I am sure we will keep you guys updated.
I'm up for some minor prop/texture work and mapping, I'm pretty okay and I've been wanting to polish my skills (also I don't have a portfolio or any decent previous work to show so you'll just have to take my word)
Not until you have a set team and at least a map or some anims to show
You could theoretically go recruit in Programming but if you did that you'd probably notice soon enough that half the people are incompetent and the rest either don't have time or can't be arsed to actually work on the project, especially not the parts that are actually integral.
Edited:
Although frankly that might be mostly because it seems that the competent, productive programmers tend to be working on their own projects instead.
The only way you can recruit people on FP is when you have enough content to not look like an ideas guy
at the moment we have SCP-173's fullbright box and a ton of ideas
Okay I've known about the SCP for a long while, but I've only recently read through a few things and Jesus Christ, this is actually pretty creepy shit sometimes. I remember when I used to think SCP was real.
There was no such thing as sleep.
I wanted to pull an all nighter a few weeks ago and re-reading that "Sleep Eater" SCP did the trick
Sleep Completely Prevented.
I just found out about SCP Foundation and this shit is awesome!
SCP-666-J is the most hilarious things I've ever read.
Heh.
It's about a tv obsessed with eight, but for some reason a shape with nine sides manifests at the end.

Source on this pic?
Holy fuck, everybody want's to make an SCP Game nowI want to make one aswell :V
So, in this HL2 Mod I'm assuming you play as a generic D-Class who'se probably in some SCP's chamber or his own sleeping quarters when shit gets real. I'm thinking that along with you running from SCP's, you also have to worry about guards and shit. D-Class become kill on sight, because the odds of you escaping with knowledge of the SCP's would be to great a threat.
I'd like to see, SCP on the CryEngine!
So would you like some help on this, or what?
I think the more mappers and modelers, the better, mapping takes a while and the more people we have the faster it is.
Slow down there, this isn't a race and never was. If you want to create a quality mod, you have to take your time and make it good.
Let's craft something amazing, not mash-up something mediocre.
I'm ready by the way,

Someone create a group or something.
Quinnjdq should set one up, since he started the idea.
Just call me Quinn. Also, let me just add you on steam and me, you and Chippers will talk about it.
The original idea was a more traditional mod with action as well as evading SCPs, so you'd be some researcher guy or a security guard fighting back an invading force + trying to survive a containment breach of all the SCPs worth worrying about, most of which you'd be obligated not to destroy (assuming you even can).
Yeah I don't really see why the PC in a potential SCP game always has to be D-Class.
I guess it's so that you can relate to the PC's reaction when they see something crazy, but they're almost all convicted rapists and murderers anyway so I don't see why you can't have agents and guards and such in the role. For all we know, the PC in Containment Breach has a swastika carved into his forehead.
One interesting spin would be a D-class using a containment breach to escape, and exploiting some SCPs to do so.

The guys in 420-J are agents or researchers, and therefore adults, as opposed to teenagers.
