I don't own RO2 so I don't really know too much about the realism on the soldiers but I feel like there's very little equipment on the soldiers. I know you could probably argue about the significance on the realism regarding supplies etc. but I feel for aesthetic reasons, these fellas need some more gear on them. That's just my opinion, it's not really a problem regarding your porting efforts though.
There are both Rusky and German gear sets that includes pretty much all their combat gear. The one shown in most of tease images is the "Hero" or "vetaran" gear set.
    Cheers!

    Models are looking great guys.

    I have a question...

I played the first ( i think?) Red orchestra when there was a free trial on steam and really liked it, but never got round to buying it. Anyway, I noticed in that game when you blew someone up with a grenade they would lose legs and arms and stuff and the gibs were awesome.

So, out of curiosity, are there similar gib models in the second? And, if so, will you be porting those aswell?

yes there is the gib system but it's really kind of hard to make in gmod. In RO2 when you get blown off there is a code that remove the vertex for a selected bone and add a model to the bone so like that it doesn't need a plenty of models. I already added the gib for the head but it's still very wip.

I did a simple Waffen-SS reskin for the rawrecruit and herotunic2 models, it isn't hexed (cause I don't know how to hex). I couldn't figure out how to replace the stripes on collar with Waffen-SS symbols but I think it turned out pretty good. Helmet on the left isn't mine. And has there been any progress?

That skin is awesome. If you want I could add it to the model list like a new model. Are you able to reskin the helmet too?

Sure, when I have the time I'll do so. I might also add some variations like different colour pants etc. I can upload the textures now if you want, and I'll the tweaking when I have the time.

When it's completely read you can send it to me and I will make/upload a new model with your camo.

I'm working on WoT models right now. I'm kind of alterning those. For those who want to see the progress on WoT tanks there is a thread in Models/Skin section.

Well I guess it's time for a little update :

Fixed hands with gloves - I added 2 more hands variation, they don't have the fingers and palms so when you put the bodygroup glove on, there is no more clipping.

Added the Dutch Guy Dot 1944 Camo, I might ask one of my friend to edit the SS stuff on it if you want.

The camo is on another model, helmet and hat have both version on it.

I added helmet and crusher as separate models too.

Any chance of adding the balaclava mask things that the Germans wear on Fallen Fighters?

In regards to the ports themselves, I think they're actually pretty well done. I'm not a fan of the "jell-O" ragdoll but I guess that takes time to get used to. The glove clipping is the biggest issue thus far but in general the models are well ported over. A good job so far I think.

Can you give me the link of these tank?Itīs cool ! PD: I have the link of these tanks,(fh tanks)there is the link, its a really cool pack for the people what love the tanks http://www.filefront.com/17536815/fh_tank.zip/

Thats the best tank model ever ported to Gmod! Working threads, open hatches, man I love the tanks in Ro2 but I never thought it could be done in with Gmod!

I have a request to make, something I'we been looking for all over the web for a pretty damn long time.
Loose equipment models. I was looking around in the Ro2 SDK and found some loose equipment props! Man I want them so badly but I have no clue how to port stuff like that.
Its stuff like ammo pouches, canteens, packs etc. Its all loose props so they should be "easy" to port as far as I know. In Ro2 the props are visable throughout the map "Barracks".
In the SDK content browser the props are in the folder "Prop_Soldier_Equipment", the package is located at: steamapps\common\red orchestra 2\ROGame\CookedPC\Packages\Props_Static\Props_Sold ier_Equipment.upk

Could you please port thease modles, I'd be more then thankful!

Edit: Acualy don't bother, some of them are nice props but I just saw how bad the texture quality was. First I thought it was just the SDK but they are just as bad in-game.

The panzer is fucking amazing. Are you going to possibly add the snow camo for the Panzer IV and the T34? If you're going to port the T34 aswell, are you going to possibly try add to the ragdolled tracks aswell?
Anyway, brilliant job with everything so far.

ATTENTION EVERYBODY. WHEN YOU MAKE CAMOUFLAGE SKINS, DO NOT JUST COPY PASTE THE PATTERN OVER THE ENTIRE UNIFORM. MAKE SURE YOU BREAK IT ACROSS SEAMS, POCKETS, BUTTON LINES, OR ANYWHERE ELSE THE REAL UNIFORM WOULD USE A NEW PIECE OF FABRIC.

I am on the verge of getting this tattooed on my goddamn forehead. Seriously.

    Edited:

Also the SS had their eagles on the sleeve, not the chest
