Reckon that bore-head's wide enough?![]()
Anyone know how to install terrafirma craft correctly? I'm getting errors even with a fresh install.
Try emptying the Mods folder in the .minecraft folder
Many thanks, it was an old installation of the zeppelin mod that was doing me in.
This has prolly been asked before but, Is there a way to make the technic launcher work offline?
I don't think you can unless you turn off your internet or something.
I have turned my internet off but the launcher still couldn't work.
But I just found a fix for it anyway thanks.
Anyone got some schematics or anything for these huge machines? I'd like to make something similar.
I'm confused, can that entire thing move itself? Or just the borehead. Still, how does it move?
Frames. They're new. there's a block that can move them, and they move all blocks next to them. In redpower
ive been trying to run the technic pack for two hours
it runs fine and then it gets to the mojang splash screen and then closes
ive tried deleting the meta-inf files in every .jar i can find, reinstalling, deleting everything minecraft-related on my computer and several billion google searches and i still havent gotten it to work
is there something im missing because im just frustrated as fuck atm
The entire thing moves on itself, and the drillhead goes up and down aswell.
Update java.
Had to completely destroy the bore-head and rebuild it because for some reason, the boom that was supposed to move the bore-head retractor/extender assembly wouldn't budge it at all, indicating that something wasn't attached properly, and after 15 minutes of tinkering and hunting for the problem I said "Fuck it" and just tore it down and started over, but in the end I ended up with a somewhat more elegant design I think.
Trust me, it was butt-ass ugly before. It's still bulky and complicated because both the boom arm and bore head frames are placed/destroyed as they're extended/retracted so the machine can be more compact for when I get around to making it mobile.
Note that the computer you see doesn't do jack shit yet, as I'm still trying to learn enough FORTH to make this thing do what I want, I mined that small hole (final version will mine a hole about 50 blocks x19 blocks) by running around like a retard in a rubber-band factory pressing buttons (not entirely visible).
Care to upload a step-by-step?
Our group quickly gave up on RedPower Control and just got ComputerCraft instead. I'm sure eloraam will extend it to be very powerful but for us what we want out of control already exists, and with a more commonplace language too.
At the top picture, i think the frames are trying to move the red alloy wire on the motor aswell..
I don't know, that doesn't explain why any other motor won't budge though.
Probably similiar problems.
your using panels not covers replace the parts that you don't want to stick with covers
Should the jacketed wire stick, though?
Every block sticks
Upload the world save and the config file you're using, I'll take a look at it when I get time.
Here's my config:

I have no idea how I did it, but it moves forward and backward now.
Gonna rig it up to incinerate cobble?![]()
Rig it up with IC2 and recycle the cobble and use the scrap in Mass Fabricators to generate diamonds.
I'll see what i'm going to to, As you can see we've got quite a big powersupply under the floor, but that goes out pretty fast. I had to raise the max limit of blocks moved since we already hit 1000 blocks. I'd reckon you can mine about 100 blocks forward per battery box. Problem is going to be fitting engines for up/down forward/back in there
Edited:
IC2 cables and buildcraft pipes break when moved, and won't reconnect
Edited:
Little update on the tunnelbore:
Forward/Backward engines are in place:
All wiring and power for all current motors and block breakers is hidden below the floor:
Edited:
Also added restriction tubes between chests, so they will fill up in the correct order
If I were to use IC2 along with RedPower I'd just as well use RedPower cobble generators to feed such a device while my mining rig digs up other stuff. I plan on making a chest for sand on it, only to have any excess be incinerated. After it's done I'll have to fly it back to base and dock it so the crap it mined can be pumped out.
Running buildcraft and millenaire. I plan on finding a large village and tunneling straight through it with a TBM
Anyone help me out with RedPower 2? I'm trying to figure out frames to build a missile silo using IC2 and the Rocket Science addon.
What design did you have in mine for the silos?
Is there any way to remove the zoom from optifine? I prefer minaptics zoom, but the optifine zoom messes with the minaptics zoom.
I was thinking 8x8 made of reinforced stone buried under the desert, using a door made of 2 layers of reinforced stone and a layer of sand on top as camouflage. I was hoping to use the solar panels from RP2 to power the frame motors, but i can't get a solid design down, nor can i get a way to control it from a control room. I was thinking a multi-silo, and then eventually write a program using the Control addon to control the missile launch sequences, but that's not possible considering i don't have the knowledge nor patience to program.
EDIT: This is going to be part of a massive underground complex that would have several nuclear reactors, a missile defense system and a massive solar farm in the desert. I tried to do it in survival, but after a week of work, it turns out that i would need to move away from the desert before i even got started on construction. So i'm gonna build the structure in creative and then convert it to survival and build the internals in survival mode.
That's generally what I do with larger contraptions, or things that I want to try out before I pull my hair out in my survival world: Build it in "Creative" first (using NEI and such) to get a design down so I don't have to run around like a dipshit grabbing supplies over and over again or being distracted by anything else. Worked well for my chicken machine and it's currently what I'm doing now with the mobile mining machine I'm working on.
You can rebind the key in controls, if that is what you're asking.
Is there some sort of maximum amount of frames a motor can carry? I managed to get the mining crane I made earlier to work, but for some reason it refuses to work after I added a few frames. I added some extra motors to hopefully make up for it, but no dice.
Edited:
Might the power be a problem, perhaps? I guess it's running too low on power to keep up with all those frames.
There is a config setting, the default limit is 1000 blocks.
