I am trying to make it play like hl2 and hl1, It will play like a half life game nonetheless
Having played it, I have to say, It plays alot like GoldSRC HL1, But with DooM/Quake elements.
Although, To be fair, A lot of my work(EG, Voice acting) Is spent sending rude files to each other.
Looks great, reminds me a lot of the early Half-Life versions (aka Quiver)

maybe you should make the claws smaller, thinner and make the chest a little bigger
I was going for a different gonome look than in opposing force, something with huge claws and skinnier- like something out of re2 There is always room for change though :)
I imagine it must be quite difficult to make something like that look good with so few polygons.
I'll gladly help with mapping if you ever need it , guys.
It can be some times, we try to compensate with textures, they usually turn out not so bad ingame

Even though it's obviously not Source or Goldsrc because of the handling and textures it's definitely a lot easier to see their relation (since Goldsrc and therefore Source were based on Quake)
Are you going to mess with the HUD to make it more Half Life?
Yes, especially now that we have the updated engine, we will start making it soon
ATM the hud is just the stock quake hud, we are shooting for a hl2/1 look
You guys should keep it closer to Half-Life 1 imo, HL2 was very bland.

You should go super duper old school and make the early HL1 HUD.
The look and color-scheme actually fit quite nicely I think.
Even better if you made different styles of HUDs and allowed the player to choose which one they want.
Not sure how possible that is, but just throwing it out there.
I am most likely going for some hl1/hl2 hybrid. I really like hl1's hud, but hl1's beta hud I think was temporary in that picture, Too blocky
That idea is possible, but Im probably not going to let the player choose the huds, I will make it so everyone gets satisfied though :)

The psp version will be a dumbed down version of the pc version. The PC version will look 10x better
oh good, I was worried for a bit that it would look identical to the PSP version
Its going to take some work to get it working on the psp once I have all the monsters, maps, enemies etc., but I should be able to do it
I am excited.
I'm actually more looking forward to the PSP version.
