It weirds me out to write my own bio, so back in 2008 I ask for your help. I can't find the thread, but here's what you came up with last time:

    Jeep Barnett - Game Programmer
After reaching the toilet-scrubbing pinnacle of his janitorial career, Jeep Barnett pursued his passion for video games at DigiPen IT. His final project, Narbacular Drop, lead to a brief tour of the independent game circuit and, ultimately, the opportunity to develop Portal with Valve. Portal was a huge success, earning its place in gaming culture and over 30 "Game of the Year" awards.
Jeep continues his work at Valve as a programmer on Left 4 Dead and the ongoing Half-Life series. In his spare time he creates music, plays games with his wife, and grows tremendous amounts of hair.
I'm doing a presentation early next year and need a NEW bio. Help! New developments since this was written: I worked on L4D2. Alien Swarm, Portal 2 Co-op, and Portal 2: Peer Review have been my main focuses over the last few years. I'm working on TF2 at the moment. I've been doing a lot of cooking and have recently perfected hummus dip.

Requirements: I haven't heard how long/short it should be, but probably in the same range as the older bio.

Nobody's really gonna read this, so I'll get to the point: I made games.
    Or
Blah blah games blah blabbity blah

No offence, just trying to make something humorous on the spot.

The second one is based off a line in Saints Row 3 too.

Bio 1: The only Valve developer cool enough to post on Facepunch.

Bio 2: The only Valve developer lame enough to post on Facepunch.

Bio 3: Not nearly as cool as Gabe or Robin. Miles better than Chet.

You should probably specify if you want it serious or not.

Doesn't have to be totally serious, but it probably needs to contain some information. The previous example was a good blend.

Jeep Barnett - Beard Grower, Occasional Game Programmer
After he realized that the only time he would ever shave was after finishing a game, he decided to go work for a developer that wouldn't require him to get out the shaver too often. That developer happened to be Valve Software. Some of his credits include the Left 4 Dead and Portal series, Alien Swarm, After the release of Portal 2 Jeep now works on Team Fortress 2 and the ongoing Half-Life series.

Decent. Though I disagree with the angle since we ship something major at least once a year and TF2 ships at least once a week. I have friend's that have been in the industry 7 years and never shipped a single game.

Jeep Barnett - Game Programmer & Hummus Dip Perfectionist

At the same time as perfecting his hummus dip, Jeep Barnett pursued his dream to become a developer. Barnett worked on small projects, leading up to bigger and greater projects, one of the highly successful being "Narbacular Drop." Inevitably, after being hired at Valve with the student team, he's contributed much to Valve. Some of the projects he's worked on include the award winning and highly acclaimed Half-Life Series, Left 4 Dead Series, Portal, Portal 2 and Alien Swarm. Now, he mainly works on the highly successful multiplayer game "Team Fortress 2." In his limited spare time, he likes to hang with his friends (and wife), play bass, perfect his hummus dip, and play video games.

    Edited:

Should you need tweaking I can do so if something seems odd or outta place to you, sorry, I rarely write bios.

    Hope this helps:

    Jeep Barnett – Game Programmer

After experiencing a bout of public recognition with his final project at DigiPen IT, Narbacular Drop, Jeep Barnett seized the opportunity to leave behind his lowly janitorial job and work with Valve Software on Portal. Since then, Jeep has added Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, the Half Life series, Alien Swarm, Portal 2 Coop, Portal 2: Peer Review, and Team Fortress 2 to his development portfolio – or, as some like to call it, the “Mane of Advancement.” His hobbies include, but are not limited to; gaming with his wife, fiddling with his bass guitar, and teaching his voluminous hair to speak Korean.
    Or:
    Jeep Barnett – Game Programmer

Looking at his lowly janitorial beginnings, Jeep Barnett’s career has grown exponentially – almost as much as his hair. After experiencing a bout of public recognition with his final project at DigiPen IT, Narbacular Drop, he seized the opportunity to leave behind the bathroom floors and work with Valve Software on Portal.

And a couple alternatives to the final sentence:
His hobbies include, but are not limited to; gaming with his wife, fiddling with his bass guitar, and teaching his voluminous hair to make hummus dip.
His hobbies include, but are not limited to; gaming with his wife, fiddling with his bass guitar, and producing voluminous amounts of hummus for everyone at Valve.

Sam Cutt has some good stuff! I think a lot of the could be shuffled in to something perfect. Here's some examples: http://animex.tees.ac.uk/archive/ani...1/speakers.cfm

It looks like nearly all of them start by establishing present day and then give a little history. Very few list out hobbies, but a quick zing couldn't hurt.

    Jeep Barnett - Programmer Viking.

After years of pillaging and growing a beard that Thor himself would envy, Jeep decided to put down his battleaxe and take up game programming. After attending DigiPen IT, he was hired by Valve. Since then he has worked on Portal, L4D2, Alien Swarm, Portal 2 Co-op, and Portal 2: Peer Review.

We don't have titles like "lead chief associate vice head of X", but we still have general discipline specialties. We're sometimes have to make up titles for press because the don't have a format style for not printing them.

    Jeep Barnett - Game Programmer
Realizing that hair farms weren’t a viable income source, Jeep Barnett boldly dove (or fell) in to the videogame industry, pursuing a degree at DigiPen IT. His senior project there, Narbacular Drop, lead to his hiring by Valve, which lead to him being assigned on Portal. Portal was an outstanding success, leading to a sequel and over 30 “Game of the Year” awards.
After enjoying this success, Jeep continued working at Valve as a programmer, helping on various critically-acclaimed titles such as Portal 2, the Left for Dead series, and the Half Life series. Currently, his main focus is Team Fortress 2. Being quite the artist, he enjoys cooking (only recently perfecting hummus dip), and making sweet, sweet music. He has a wife, who he plays games with and secretly trains to grow hair.

Sorry it might be a little insensitive in an effort to be humorous. It sounds somewhat awkward, I'm not the greatest at writing bios.

Humble janitor turned game programmer, in 20xx Jeep Barnett decided to take his life from the toilet stalls to the academic halls. While on his way to earning a B.S. Degree from the DigiPen Institute of Technology, he and his teammates created a game called Narbacular Drop. After seeing the potential in him and his team, Valve Software hired them and helped them morph their initial game concept into the critically acclaimed hit Portal. Jeep has since worked on Left 4 Dead 2, Alien Swarm, Portal 2 Co-op, Portal 2: Peer Review, Team Fortress 2, and a hummus dip recipe(which he has recently perfected).

Jeep is a programmer at Valve currently writing code for the ever-evolving Team Fortress 2. Over the last six years he has worked on a variety of critically-acclaimed Valve series including Portal, Left 4 Dead, and Alien Swarm.

Jeep successfully converted his janitorial expertise into a videogame development career by earning a Bachelors of Science from DigiPen IT. Valve enabled his senior project, Narbacular Drop, to be reimagined as Portal which went on to win over 30 "Game of the Year" awards.
