you REALLY should have finished MGS2 first. Going backwards is not easy, and most people give up.

The hardest thing to deal with is the camera and NO CQC.
I wont give up don't worry, I've played the other games before the 3RD not finished them but i've played them enough to know how to play and stuff, I just wanted to start from 3 then go through them from 1,2 and 4.

It still irks me how they never showed The Fury when you met the other members of the Cobras in MGS3.

But then again he would've taken a lot of space in one of those HINDS...
Could've just had him flying next to one.

    that's just for the 360.

i use my ps3 controller to play pc games sometimes and the program i use can test pressure sensitivity of buttons.

the ps3 controller's pressure sensitivity for just about every button except r3 and l3 (maybe even them too) is insanely sensitive. to the point where a fucking spec of dust landing on the X button would cause some reaction probably.
I remember reading early on as a random trivia fact for when the PS3 was going to be released that they increased the number of pressure points from the PS2 controller amount to like 200 something pressure points or something. So yeah, there is a fair amount of precision in the buttons, but I figure doing something like a hold up could be down within a certain range, not just one specific amount of pressure.

Played through 3 last week, then I loaded up Peace Walker.

"You can not move while prone. You can only move by crouching!"

What the hell? When did I start playing Splintercell Pandora Tomorrow?
Fuck...It's going to take me some time to get used to that once I obtain a copy of this collection. And buy a new PS3.

    Edited:

    Bitch, please.

What the fuck I've played through MGS4 like 6 times, and seen probably 97% of what the game contains, and I have NEVER seen that kind of soldier. Obviously you never directly fight them, but seriously, how could I miss something like that!

Picked up the HD collection earlier this week now that the shops around here have started stocking it. Tried to do a non-lethal playthrough of MGS3 and ended up throwing a guard off of the rope bridge less than an hour in.

When you're on Drebin's APC/IFV thing and fighting the soldiers, those show up, Otacon even has dialogue about it.

He says something about "Powered suits" if I remember right.

So I'm playing the classic metal gears for the first time. I finished the first one on original and man, that game is full of dick moves.
Walking into a room, not knowing it's filled with gas. Then Big Boss calls to say that you'll need a gasmask. NO SHIT SHERLOCK!

I've started metal gear 2, but damn, it's freaking hard! Starting to think I should switch to easy mode...

I was the same way (   mainly because I've always had a super long Sorrow battle   ), but once I got to the first area with more than 4 enemies, I decided to kill guys.

MGS3 does, yeah. They didn't retrofit it into MGS2, though.

Same with me, I got a little too trigger happy with the shotgun.

They should really bring back the Original Metal Gear Online (Not the MGS4 one) on Xbox and PS3 as a Standalone game like what they are doing with Killzone 3's Mulitplayer. I want to piss people off with that Shotgun.

    Just completed MGS3, feels good.

The ending always gets to me, i'm wondering about if i should do a very easy playthrough just to get all the kerotans, or doing an european extreme playthrough.

Or very easy + kerotans + no kills + no detection.

Or just MGS2 but the camera is a bitch.

You can do the european extreme + kerotans. Kerotans don't really add to the difficulty until the later sequences (and they're really easy if you have Volgin's camo).

That way, when you unlock stealth, you'll be able to play again on EE. Very easy gets incredibly boring.

I just can't play at this moment, i remember loving it to hell when i was younger. But now, without camo index or real CQC it's kinda unplayable for me

It's going to get shut down in june. So you should try it out, once you get the chance, all the DLC is gonna be free starting from 24th april, so that's kinda nice.
MGO isn't that great, but can be alot of fun, getting a game going takes a while though.

    Played through MGS1 (PS1), MGS2 & 3 (HD Collection) and MGS4.
I'm going to play Peace Walker with a friend of mine next and I'm going to try MG1 and 2, since they came with MGS3 as well.

    People don't really know.

It's mostly a pain in the ass online. The Aim-tap-headshot gamestyle scares away most players, because no matter what kind of a shot it is aslong as it as much as strifes your head you're dead.

So it's literally people jumping around headshotting people, to such an extent it's bullshit.

Yeah the multiplayer only "worked" on PS3, some of the badges you'd need to have on PSP was like 100 multiplayer matches, and you have to use AD-HOC which makes it alot more complicated than it should be.
