Okay so I bought a prebuilt ASUS desktop from Best Buy in June of this year.
This is the model type if it helps:

I want to upgrade this computer so I can run games like Skyrim and Battlefield 3 if possible. I tried system Requirements Lab before coming here and it said I passed everything, but graphics in both minimum and recommended. I'm hopeful that this means I could just buy a graphics card. Could I replace this graphics card and be set to play?

Would any of these be good for playing the games I want to? I don't want a card that just runs on minimum settings because I already have a PS3 for that.

My budget is somewhere between $300 and $400. I'm aiming for best quality, but I'm also aiming to spend as little as possible. I'd really like to find a middle ground between price and quality if possible.

I appreciate any and all help. It might be quite obvious that I have no idea what I'm doing.

You could probably get 30 - 40 FPS on ultra or high settings on BF3, maybes the same for skyrim. Honestly though if I were you if there isn't a warranty on your PC already, just get a GTX 560 ti and a new PSU, But I'm not sure how asus does things in their pre builts.

If I get that type of card how can I be sure I'm getting a capable PSU?

This is great! Its much lower than what I originally thought I needed spend.

Why do you always recommend Corsair PSUs? Have you only ever built like one computer and so you only ever used a Corsair Builder series PSU? They're not even very good, especially when you can get a Neo Eco 520 in the same price range.

Cause its $46 on sale and the neo eco is out of stock

Also I just looked at 500w psu's and saw the corsair on sale for $46 so I just picked that.

The corsair is on sale for $46, you only need like 500w of power and its a pretty decent PSU for the price right now.

Except that Corsair won't provide 500W of power and there are other PSUs in its price range with better features.

For example this OCZ modXstream provides 30W more on the 12V rail and is also modular while also being only $2 more.
