I haven't listened to a lot of album released this year so I dunno. My favourites of the few I've listened to are Helplessness Blues, Let England Shake, James Blake, Belong, Kaputt, and The Smile Sessions if you count that.

Giles Corey is hands down my album of the year. If you haven't listened to it yet, you're missing out one of the most emotionally inspired, nearly perfectly executed concept albums in a long time.

I'm afraid I have been stuck in the 70's prog and metal era for the past 2 years now. I have not really heard a lick of any 2011 albums, except for the shit that plays on the radio in some of my school classes.

edit: Wait no, Death Grips - Ex-Military was amazing.

I have only 1 metal album in my top 15, anyone got any good 2011 metal albums I should listen to? So far I just finished with Vektor - Outer Isolation, still need to listen to more. Actually that reminds me still have Wormrot - Dirge to listen to, though that's Grindcore I guess.
