it's really hurting the competitive community
spray patterns barely work anymore in css, it's awful.

what
sprays work all the time for me.
And they made CS:GO to update it constantly instead of updating CS:S because all they recieved as feedback as "VALEVLE RUIEND CSSS!!!"

I wouldn't kill yourself over getting the presents.
Beta is going to start in 2012, probably early 2012. Get all of the valve gift achievements and keep your fingers crossed, past that can't really suggest anything else.

$100 seems a little too steep for getting into the beta. The beta is seriously a lot of fun, but, unless you're really good at/into CS, the replayability of the pre-tweaked gameplay on de_dust might drop after a week or two.

Auuuggh why you would pay that much to get into such a barebones beta is beyond me. Maybe in a month or two it will be worth $167, not now.

If the "get presents get free stuff is true (which it is not)" then anyone could make there own server, spawn a ton of bots, then kill them all, with a 1/7 drop.

This is why the "Get X amount of presents and you'll get Y" is not true. Wish everyone on CSS would shut up about this.

Or just spray boobs, and half of the enemy team will keep staring them, while you do the dirty work.

The christmas thing valve has on. You can pick up random presents off dead people in CSS and get an achievement.

Sent a mail to Chet, asking if the CSGO Hammer Editor will include the linked_portal_door entities (for those that don't know, they are seamless world portals that allow you to achieve TARDIS-esque effects) since it runs on the Portal 2 branch of the Source Engine.

Fingers crossed since I'm an enthusiastic CS mapper, and want to make Escher-esque mindfuck maps.
