Yeah well I'd like some boring ground-based CTF game that doesn't involve running around like a headless chicken.
I hope those gigantic radioactive container thingies are just placeholders, because they stand out way too much.
I really dont like the new nuke. I like the stairs down B. In 2v2s, I like to rush mid, have both guys run down there and smoking heaven. A nice lill way to take B.
I love the new train though. It is going to be my second fav. map I think.
I don't know if it's just me, but on Nuke in Casual mode, join the CT Team and like 1 in 4 times one of the bots will randomly start shooting one of the door windows. And sometimes the bots just stand in front of eachother in a hallway before shooting 5 seconds later.
Also the Nova is a god damn sniper rifle.
Also this isn't Quake, its Counter Strike, its always been round-based, if you can't deal with it go play Quake
Well this is true, but thats why they have Deathmatch servers. The core game has never been insta-respawn friendly
When I go on Source I think "man I have to survive the round, think tactfully, make good shots and watch my back" not "omg run around like a headless chicken, ok I'm dead no worries I respawn in a second"

Agree. Thats why I love CS:S
There will probably be some mods post-release for non-respawn gamemodes. However the core game is really based on strategy and tactics over "hurr durr shoot up the bad guys." Respawn modes take away from that focus on strategy, because you have a cushion should you die.

Is it me or does Nuke and Inferno look just like they did in CSS? Like nothings different...
I know this is a incredibly small detail, but I think it would look so much better if the corners of walls was curved ever so slightly. Just so it looks like it's not perfect polygons and more like a wall or something.
Seriously, from screenshots and videos I have seen maps like Dust and Aztec look like they have been completely remade. Those videos of Inferno and Nuke just look like the CSS versions were ported over with a few things changed... Are they place holders or am I missing something?
Only small stuff has changed, graphically inferno looks much better, with some map changes.
Oddly nuke looks bad and A looks out of place (I think it's A) B looks great.
So is the final version of those maps going to look like that? I like how they remade Dust and Aztec - even if they are the same sort of design, it looks a lot better than just porting them and changing a few things...

why are 1.6ers so HARDCORE as to dare to change to css or even consider cs:go?
