    They still using low quality world models :/
    It looks much better than cs:s, and it's not like you're going to be that close to a player to actually see how detailed it in while playing.
    The M4A4 one looks pretty meh, but the rest, especially the AK47 world model, look great.

    I don't know, but they look fine to me.


    That's honestly not acceptable in a world where this can happen with fully dynamic lighting calculations running on it as opposed to the lightmaps in source.

    you do realize most architecture like that is actually blocky in real life.

    I just hope they aren't faking those pretty shadows with a cleverly hidden flashlight for the promotional shots like they've done before, I really like the quality of how it looks like that

    I sure hope it isn't faked, it looks like it's all around the place but the ones in the background could just be static.

    I totally understand what you mean and I agree...

    But we must accept that VALVE has made a very good improvement in their games' visuals.

    Judging from the video, CS:GO's lighting is way better than PORTAL 2's (and it was decent in that one)

    Of course, I can't be sure about that since I am not in the BETA (nor do I care)

    Still, I am getting even more excited about this game...

    That picture was taken off a shitty server with 4k models at 4 in the morning. There were still 10 or so completely populated servers at that time too

    it's possible valve could implement global illumination in the PC, but not the PS3

    I really hope they re add vehicle controls like nipper maps, the best part about cs 1.6 maps was the map with the pit in the middle, the vehicle that was stairs and 2 ladders on each side, both teams had to get up the stairs up the ladder and shit. I swear vehicles that you can turn and shit were the shit I hope they some how make up for it if it doesn't make a return.

    I'm going to miss the deep wilderness feel of cs_militia, I just don't get a deep forest vibe with de_lake, not to mention I prefer the half finished old run down look of it over the clean modern cottage in de_lake.

    I never played Counter-Strike before I played TF2, and one of the things that struck me about CSS when I eventually got around to playing it is that there's literally no way to play a nice vanilla game. You can't get no plugins, no mods, no custom game modes, no custom maps without starting your own game with friends or exhaustively searching through the server browser. That's one thing I will certainly not miss should I play CS:GO, matchmaking is great is this regard.

    • Added new weapons:
    - MP9
    - Mac10
    - P90
    - Five-Seven

    • Fixed bug that sometimes prevented players from buying grenades
    • Made recoil reset after cooldown period, regardless of whether it is full

    • Changed weapon availability:
    - Both Ts and CTs can buy the Bizon and MP7.
    - CTs may now buy MP9.
