Moved the map over to L4D2 to use some of its models, havent added colour correction yet.
Hopefully I get a key and can start mapping.

    Edit:
Nope, no key :/. Anyone have a spare?

Weird. I just got a key, but there's no gift, notification or otherwise. It's just there in my library, slowly downloading away. Ah well, i'm not complaining. vv

Just did, still no notification. Strange. Again, got no problems with that, though; more issues with the painfully slow download, but that's what one expects when tons of people are probably downloading it at once.

Bad news: they took most of the unimplemented map models out.

Probably should've scaled it first .

Ah well it's the first model I've ever compiled where it hasn't had a single problem, and I gotta lay the groundwork of the map down first. Also compiling seems much quicker to get in-game now which is nice.

(Also need a decent name, thought about de_sandwich).

    messing up with some things

the global light texture is the env_cascade_light, and you should also use the light_environment, and try to use the same angles, because it won't look really good if you change it.

I thought I'd share my viewmodel settings. In my opinion, they feel much more natural than both defaults and the settings posted before.

    Code:
    viewmodel_fov 60
    viewmodel_offset_x -1
    viewmodel_offset_y -1
    viewmodel_offset_z -1
Note: I'm standing still in the above image.

I wish I was in the beta too but getting pissy and angry because you're not invited into a beta for a $20 game coming out in a couple of months is a dumb thing to do.

That's really dumb. I think you should go see the 'Emails to a Valve Employee' thread and see how nice they are. They give so much stuff away, and sign stuff all the time. They are super nice, and last time I had a problem with Steam, I sent them an email, woke up in the morning, and they had already fixed it.

I've never had a problem with them, and as such, I've bought over 80 games on Steam that when new (I bought most if not all of them new) would probaly be worth over $2000 or $3000.

    They're a great company.
