That would be awesome. Wish I had that much desk space.

    Or a room that big.

My room isn't that big, just big enough to fit a corner desk that size, a small dresser and a pull out couch. Right now I've got a tiny desk, a big twin size bed and a big dresser which I don't even need, In fact I might just sleep on my summer camp cot for the rest of my life living with my parents unless they make me a bedroom out in the garage.

Yea I hear you man, but the only reason I post this is because all my shit is like so messy and idk how to organize it. And my thought was to build a work bench with drawers but i don't have the money nor space. And so I came on here to ask a nice cheap organized area with places to put all my shit...like storage

Just throw out EVERYTHING you don't need and get some plastic bins and just stuff a bunch of crap in there and then take a sharpie and write a list of basic items in it. In fact I have to clean out my room so I can take my bed out of there and put a pull out couch in there soon.

yeah i did it the cheap way and put every thing in plastic bags and wrote on those, but i need bins because i have to always add things to bags and when i do that rip. so next plan. get money to buy containers.

note to self: get a grip on life so that i can have more time to do shit

Wall mounted monitors, lipped shelves with partitions to put hardware. towers go underneath, and a fucking enormous desk that runs around the whole room.

Oh and fucking bright lights as well as LAN ports and power sockets galore

Bed in the corner, get cube organizers like this

And just throw away EVERYTHING you don't need, also you don't really need that TV if you have a decent computer to watch TV on.

I would put it in the closet since you have such a big closet, and I don't have a setup right now its just what I plan on doing but I will make a quick drawing.

I'd use the closet as storage only

Using that as a workplace would be slightly cramped.

I actually love pull out couch beds, And its not going to be a cheap one like you find in a motel room either, my grandma has a real nice black leather one and its uber comfortable I love it more than my current bed.

Yea I'm probally going to try and put it in my closet but I don't want too spend a lot on a desk. Goodwill will probally be my best choice for finding a cheap desk or table. But my closet doesn't have a power outlet which suxs does anybody know a way to put one in there, besides running an extension cord which would look really cheesy. There is a dome light and I was wondering if there was an adapter with a power outlet on it so I can srew in a light build and have an outlet next to it. But if running an extension cord thru a wall is ok just if I don't have to make any big holes, so that I can patch them up later if I move or something.

I wish I was good at CAD so I can design this, but alas, I can't make anything more complex than a few gears in SolidWorks, so I'll describe as best I can.

I want my office and bedroom to be combined in the master bedroom. The office would be a "sub level" of the master bedroom, with a king sized bed being above the office. Think of it how like some dorms do it, but with a little more fleshed out idea, where the sub-level office would be like a room in it's own regard. When I'm done gaming or whatever I'm just under my bed, so that will be convenient until I break my legs or some shit.

Otherwise, I want a nice L shaped desk, but I don't want it in the corner. I want to simulate a separate room by having the L sort of "block off" the area where the chair will sit.

So what is that in the picture under the table and what is that big box on top. Specifically the receiver thing on the bottom with lights. It looks shiny and pretty

I keep the supermicro off because its fucking loud, but I occasionally use it to test server configurations for clients. The Dell is running ESXi for VMs and shit. The xServe RAID contains my iTunes library and various backups.

Oh so that's what servers are for? Never really understood why you would need a server for your home

I use VMs for running network authentications services for my house. I run a domain controller, active directory, etc. Makes managing all my PCs a lot easier. I like to have a lot of horsepower lying around for when I need it. I have everything set up on fiber channel so that if I really need to, I can tie it all together and use it as one giant computer. Makes rendering video a really quick task.
