Yes you should.
I would really like to get into this stuff but I don't know of any locations to find old relics. I am on a military base though, old spend shells and crap lays everywhere but that doesn't interest me.

Sweden was a neutral country during WW2 so probably not... You could find some viking coins.

You can always find stuff around old military bases, mostly it's just shells or ammo but hey you never know.

The only thing I've found in probably an hour of digging was a cat food tin lid, and some sort of musket piece. The thing was ancient, I found it in the woods while visiting connecticut. I believe it was the framework of the handle and part of the barrel.
Imagine this but without the wood and heavily rusted. It was hard to distinguish at first. I knocked some of the dirt and rust off.

There was one battle in Indiana of the Civil War.
It was also at the lowest point of the state, too.
I wish I could do this, but I don't feel like renting a metal detector and driving three hours to find some musket balls.
