    Ahh 1366 x 768, my worst nightmare.

I'll work on it and try to center it a little better. :)

In the meanwhile, almost done with the actual minecraft website. http://www.lifepunch.net/mc
Why don't you use a container with 100% width and height and center everything in there? Seems easy enough to me....

The part under the date is a little wierd, you might want to just fill that up with the number of comments or something. It looks sort of out of place to me.

It looks weird because the gradient just stops there and there is no border or something like that.
Try giving it a "fade out" gradient as well. So light > dark > light instead of light > dark.

And I personally would use "outline: none" at the loginform.
    Looks awesome otherwise.

Basic box collision is working, and I've added a player with camera tracking (its a little roomba robot thingy) It also scales itself to fit any resolution.

I'm definitely switching it to canvas as the performance frankly sucks due to it moving 1000 divs around 30 times a second.

working on my photo feedback site idea:

yeah yeah I know, bootstrap. I'm just wanting to get a prototype/alpha out there quickly.

(all the photos are mine if anyone's curious)

    Edited:

I wasn't sure what to do with the left side of the hero unit there. I know that I want the image upload button there, but I'm not sure on that text.
also don't know if you noticed but some things are out of line, the third picture in the row isn't aligned with the rest, as well as the first recent feedback post

Seems to be built with only performance in mind, it natively uses compiled languages (Java, C/C++, D and Obj-C/C++) as scripts. Can proxy directly to others though, there's some examples here (Javascript, Lua, Go and Python listed)

Ok, I must say, Ruby is much more interesting than Python or C# ASP.NET.
So far I like it (learning through the Rails for Zombies tutorial). Thanks for the recommendation peeps.

I have, it's fast, and I had good results using it to serve many large and static files. That said, don't bother; it's prone to die for all sorts of reasons (at least that was the case for two versions I tested), and the speed difference isn't worth all the extra trouble.

Might be better in recent versions, that was just my experience.

What kinds of cases was it dying in? I've found a use-case for it I'm tempted to try, but if it's just gonna die every 5 seconds there's no point.

It would often segfault , among other things, I can't pin-point the exact causes. AFAIK it had no direct relation to load, it was just seemingly random. It's easy to get it running with basic functionality, give it a try and see if it works for you. (and remember to report back with your results)

I gotta admit I'm falling for the whole Ruby & JS scene.

I'm going to make a PHP-os just to counter that, out of spite.

Working on what is essentially a bio list, basically something like the facebook timeline but that you can have on any site.
So you enter events and it displays them in order (the latest thing to have happened will display first) also displaying images if you have given images.

Got all the coding bit done, you can upload images, create events, view the bio... now just have to make it look nice, I have a basic Idea of what I want it to look like so will post that up once I have made it pretty.

its too round because of that, the padding looks weird. Change it to a sans-serif font. after doing this, take screen shot again.

    I recommend
    text-align:justify

(ur font size should be a bit bigger because of default sans-serif. if it's 12px make it 11px if it's 14px make it 13px)

Not too sure what you mean about the font size thing, but this is with text align: justify and with sans serif 13px, oh and I changed the border radius to 5px

Stumbled across a pretty neat little web page that can help you test your responsive web sites and how they'll look across a large variety of devices. It's not groundbreaking, and of course style support will vary on the actual devices, but it's useful for checking how the general layouts will appear when designing.

My client wants me to create this: http://www.wix.com/berniukss/pavyzdys15# as a proper website.
Well, I thought the design is downright terrible and decided to try something totally different. So far I came up with this: http://nsiunta.lt .
What do you think? Looks better than the design the client sent me, if so, would be nice to hear some feedback what to improve/change.

    P.S.:
I know the images suck ass, I need to make new ones or something, the client couldn't (wouldn't?) send me the ones that he used so I just did PrtScr.

If you changed the countries to be the same colour as the N in the logo, I think it'd work much better.
