I really doubt anything even outputs full 7.1 through 3.5mm
What are you talking about, lots of cards have four 3.5mm output ports (four stereo ports = 8 channels)

Don't get 7.1 headsets, they are bad and provide worse imaging, soundstage and quality than normal headphones.
If you want sound quality and great soundstage for games then post in the headphone thread listing your budget, uses and music preferences.

any good cases for micro-atx under 60$?
If you can find it anywhere, the Aerocool M40 is pretty nice, and a bit different from normal cases. I'd advice against getting a mATX case, though, as you're really locking yourself in.

but it will be really expensive too wont it?
I can get a gtx 570 for 300 dollars and I'm unsure if I should wait for the next generation if I can't find a card that will perform the same for the same price.

Could get a 7870 for a little more, which is faster stock, uses less power, quieter and overclocks very well.

they're also 170 dollars more than the 570 I can get so it's not really an option.
If anything it would be a 7850 instead but I've heard they do worse than the 570.

oh, maybe I'm using a wierd translator from SEK to dollars but however it translates 2000 SEK to 300 bucks (gtx 570) and 3200 SEK to 470 bucks. http://coinmill.com/SEK_USD.html
Those are the prices over here so it's a really good deal. The 570 isn't new, it's like second hand sorta stuff but with warranty.
The new 570s over here are 370 bucks as cheapest.

As BRT said, they'll be 30% better in performance (or around there) and will probably be a little more expensive, but not much.

Probably will run cooler, use less power, smaller card, and also will sport GPU boost for weaker games.

I use speccy to view temps, so just assume SpeedFan is reporting a wrong value and post the Speccy under load

So, I have come to a conclusion that the Scythe Mugen 2b, is a bit too bulky and will consume basicly the whole window. Are there any alternatives? I have been looking at the NH-C14, and the H100. Any other recommendations?

If you want something that won't obstruct too much in the main compartment of the case, then the all-in-one liquid coolers are decent. Bear in mind you're paying more for poorer cooling and louder fans than with traditional air cooling though.
Also, stay away from the H100 - Look at the Antec Kuhler 920 instead.

Alright guys so I fucked up bad. I got a new hard drive and I have been trying to make it my boot drive by cloning my old hard drive to my new hard drive. I never altered the old hard drive (99.9% sure of this). I was never able to clone and then add unallocated space to the partition, and i spent hours on it so I just said fuck it, so I put the new hard drive (wiped) into a new comp I am building.

Here is the issue now. My old comp won't start up unless both hard drives are present. With the old hard drive it just won't start up. With the new hard drive it says I am missing windows files. this is odd because the new hard drive is wiped clean. Not even a partition, all unallocated space. Windows will only start up if I have both hard drives connected to my comp, and even then I can't even show the second drive in Disk management OR My computer.

    I really need help. Appreciated.

I am building a cheap rig for my friend and the price is about at $450.
His only request about the computer is that it runs minecraft at a playable level. This needs to be as cheap as possible, so I picked a 520 as his GPU. Am I over shooting on the card? If so what cheaper card would you recommend

Any reasons to stay away from the H100? Tinytomlogan said it was quite good, and really the only one he would recommend from the H series. Also, the h100 has dual rads, the kuhler doesn't.

The H100 is overpriced for what you get, but it's still a solid cooler and looks pretty awesome, TTL really only uses it because it's easy to use on his test bench (doesn't require much mounting and fiddling as a big air heatsink would) and he's sponsored by Corsair.
But it is a good cooler, just a bit overpriced for the performance, if you like the look of it and have the money then go for it.
