Relatively easy, but it depends on the phone. For example, with a Galaxy S2 you can just flash a rooted kernel - the whole process takes less than a minute if you have everything ready and follow the guide step by step.

camera works bro, it's only the video recording, also leave data network enabled, it closes automatically when there is a wi-fi connection and the mobile data limit works I think
