They better keep the gravitational force law in, for continuity purposes.

4:20 is black mesa and this thread in a nutshell.
Nah, this is the shit:
I remember my old speakers would always break. The sound for that was just a high pitched tone that would play even if the speakers were muted.
Regarding that Tram vid. we all know its old, but this post details what has changed since then.

a modeled support beam instead of using brushes?
ahaha thats a waste of time and resources, no wonder they couldnt handle the complains
More like they hit the brush limit
yeah, and in some maps they are just hitting the entity limit, that is why the Cockroaches are a particle effect not a NPC.
Too many bugs in this game!
Who does this?
Seriously, what kind of jerk complains when they see news of progress? I'd prefer the appearance of slow progress to the assumption of no progress.
which would happen when youre filling a map to the brim with details
NEW BLACK MESA THREAD OH GOD oh its just V3.
I'd like my school to have this as a fire alarm.
Oh man, this is gonna suck.![]()
You dissapoint me, sir.
no, it will look impressive its just a waste of time for them to be adding that much detailing into a map to the point where they managed to hit the entity limit
butthurter please
I doubt that they would hit it, with all the brushes being replaced with models.
Uh, yes? It's not like they're more detailed than most other good maps, but taking their size into consideration it's only natural that they hit the entity and brush limit. Making static prop replacements for brushes isn't wasting anybody's time, and I honestly don't see why it is worth complaining over.
Maybe the brushes being replaced with models is why the mod is taking so long, or the fact that the mod will be 99 gb when it's done.
"There's very little prop modelling work to be done these days, and that's been the case for a very long time" (Raminator)
They could model HECU Zombies
Just kidding of course, wouldn't want to add to their workload, and they'd have to open a map to add them and then wait a week while it compiles.
I thought they said there is going to be HECU zombies
Edited:
I wonder who they got to voice Eli and Kleiner? Wonder if they got their original voice actors for them.
No they didn't, and there isn't going to be a HECU zombie.
I believe they asked the voice actor who played either Kleiner or Barney/G-Man but they said no.
Reissues was a pretty damn sweet mod...
It's like you're doing works for G-Man before get into HL2 universe
They asked Mike Shapiro for help with Barney/G-Man but he was too busy, he did applaud their work though and the dude they have now for both those voices is just as amazing.
Kleiner? I have no idea, I bet Harry S. Robins though would jump at the idea of voicing this though if they didn't already have someone doing it.
Yeah, G-Man saying "Unforeseen Consequences" in the BMS 2008 trailer, is their voice actor. It isn't taken from EP2
Eli is apparently voiced by a white guy

Has anyone seen someones making opposing force too. [link]http://www.obmsource.com/[/link]. I think these two mods are coming along nicely if slowly. Quality over quantitie.
Development time isn't an indication of something's quality, nor it's quantity, it's just indicating that it's taking long or not.

Interesting!
Maybe.
No. Not interesting at all.
Hell, put it as the passing bell
and the fire alarm
and the lockdown alarm
and whatever other alarms there are
Actually, it is a little interesting. I mean the idea sounded kinda interesting but it's interesting to know that something like that affected performance. Interesting to see some tiny little trivia.
It would effect pretty much any version of the pre-portal 2 source engine. Source is well known for not having very well working dynamic lights. Also the fact you can only really have one per map.
Our school had a better one. It sounded like a klaxon, and when they went off the lights would dim and white blinkers would flash.
It was like being in a military base on alert![]()
There's a carwash here with a similar alarm![]()
