As the developers stated, no progress bar will be accurate because the last 2% can take as long as the previous 10%. And then everyone complains "OMG SO LIEK... WHEN WILL IT BE COMPLETE?!"

Hint: There's no accurate answer. They can give out release dates and piss off everyone when it's pushed back (See: Duke Nukem Forever) or they can just work on it until it's done.

You can't imagine how many times I saw this argument. Probably due to the fact the mod has been around for quite a bunch of time I guess.
I agree one shouldn't focus on BM all this time, especially for this long, but I guess it's a pretty normal reaction considering it's a very popular and awaited mod.
I still don't understand why they don't do bigger media releases than a picture or two on the wiki once in a month. Their main argument of people criticising their work is a pretty flawed one, considering most of it was on old content released on Youtube and most people couldn't be assed to look at the date of the video.
Beside, I don't really see the problem in criticism, as long as a part of it is constructive. Even Valve themselves get a lot of criticism sometimes (on L4D2 for example) but they make sure to take it into account every time a mistake is made, like the episodic format. Also, BM has waaay more quality than what you would expect from a source mod, so I guess they don't release media out of laziness more than anything else.
