it's taken me forever to get used to not seeing bopie with his fancy rainbow bike avatar
I'm so used to just reading a post and seeing an avatar in the corner of my eye

My girlfriend and I slipped into a creek today. Fun stuff. Almost 2 degree C waters. Needless to say we couldn't feel our toes or feet.

Also, when I see bopie in the bottom of the page with everyone viewing a thread. Why does he have a '+' sign beside his username?
heh
he's your contact, remember friends? fp still has that
not sure if it will work 100% but i just finished uploading 70 odd shots to my facebook from a friends gig i got back from 2 hours ago, gonna pick the cream of the crop to edit and upload to flickr/500px. I was just wondering if you guys could maybe pick out a few which stand out to you, these are all straight from my camera too.
Hopefully this link should work..
EDIT: Just shocked that i stayed up to even do this! i fell asleep on the bus journey home from the city center because i had woken up 6am saturday and it is now 2:30am sunday and i havent slept. Feeling a bit stupid now.
Sorry mate, can't see anything
Put it in a zip and upload it to MegaUpload and put the link up, I'll sift through it.
For one of my photography projects, I'm supposed to take two pictures. One with depth of field and one with selective focus. But I'm not quite sure I understand what the difference is. Anyone care to help?
doesn't selective focus rely on DOF?
maybe your teacher is used to kids taking high DOF pictures with no real point of interest
it's DOF alright, but the picture doesn't really do much to say anything other than "look at my aperture!", whereas selective focus requires a more apparent point of interest
or your teacher could just be wonky like some are and have entirely different definitions of things because I AM RIGHT DON'T ARGUE WITH ME
Hm. Yeah. So let's say I have 2 cameras set on a table. 1 farther in the back and one closer to the camera taking the picture. I have to have 1 DoF and 1 selective focus. Not quite sure how to do it. Focus on one camera then.....? It has to be of the same subject too.
maybe something like this?
Those instructions are quite confusing.
its a 252.2MB file so its taking an estimated hour and a half to upload, i left it going last night and it had frozen within the four hours sleep i got. something tells me this is never going to be uploaded...
Yes it is a shade pink on my monitor as well. I always take camera screens with a pinch of salt. They seem to have great viewing brightness and contrast in comparison to a computer monitor so your photos will usually look better and different in terms of colour rendition and white balance.

I got it uploaded guys!:)

what are you doing
clearly that isn't duct tape
duct tape leaves ugly residue :c
relevant to the creative photography thread title (kinda nsfw)
translation given (I can't confirm): Canon - size doesn't matter
His nipples are pierced.
Typical Canon users.
awww yeah
there are too many threads in here
-feh wrong section I think-
Booked out a Canon 5D mkii with an 85mm 1.2 lens from next thursday to the monday morning.
So i'm gonna basically travel around London taking self portraits (or with someone) in a few locations i have in mind, so i can take full advantage of the equipment over the short space of time. Should be fun!
Always wanted to get my hands on the 85 1.2
You're gonna love it. Can't wait to see what you do with it.
Edited:
Took me forever to get mine, but it was worth every penny. I would love to see what you would do with one, also.
i want to do that one day just to see what it's like, go out shooting with a 5D and 50 f/1.2
i'd produce total shit, but yeah
i've got no one to take pictures of, cause my brother is just getting stoned 24/7.
:(
i have some friends who like getting photographed
most of my friends just makes fucked faces, whenever i point a camera in their general direction.
Use yourself, a tripod and a shutter remote.
bokehlicious by codenamecueball, on Flickr
see here
my tripod isn't with me at the moment, and i don't own a shutter remote.
meh, i will go improvise something.
my friend had an me super and a girl said "is that one of those ones with the cool look from urban outfitters"
i almost punched her in the face
fuck.
improvising a tripod isn't easy.
Edited:
when you're using a IR remote, do you have to point it directly at the camera or is it enough to just stand pretty much in front of it?
If you can see the sensor from where you are (within range of course) it will work. If there is enough white near the camera, say a wall, you can get it to bounce a little bit. Pretty much like a TV.
Before I had radios, I actually ghetto rigged a foil reflector to use an IR remote from behind the camera.
okay, thanks.
would you say it's worth the extra cost for a radio one?
