WHY CAN'T I HAVE THESE?!?!?!
WHY CAN'T I HAVE THESE?!?!?!
Gonna run through black again and actually make the grind after the elite 4.
What starter is a challenge as I have only done it once and I chose Snivy to start.
I went to my first ever prerelease today. I got a Regigigas EX and a Shiny Chandelure. The Regigigas EX wasn't full art.
first post here but has anyone ever done a solo run of a Pokemon game, i just finished Leaf Green using only Squirtle and its evolutions, i did use other pokemon for HM slaves, but not for fighting
it was amazing
Whats is this PO? And does anybody have a link for it?
there's a link on the first page
I've seen Emerald done with only Zigzagoon. Not even Linoone. Zigzagoon.
...I need more copies of the recent Pokémon games.
I wanna do a modified Nuzlocke run, but I think I only have one cart that doesn't have a save on it that I wanna keep.
Edited:
So I realize Nuzlocke runs are pretty much overdone, but how interested would you guys be in me doing a Nuzlocke-esque run of HeartGold?
I've got a few rules in mind outside the normal Nuzrun. Only allowed to have 6 live Pokémon at a time. So once I have a full party, I can't catch anything until I lose a party member. Trying to decide if I want this to be "use the first six Pokémon you catch, everything else MUST be boxed", or if I want to alter the catch at first sight rule.
I'm also thinking about playing kind of like Ash - only running to the Pokémon center when at critical health, only healing outside of that is Potions. Because why not, let's make this hard.
Any other suggestions or anything?
Edit Here's a link to an old, failed/incomplete run.
I've been doing that since I began playing, but I personally think it's more rewarding if you train more than one: in my last runs of Pokémon Emerald, Diamond and SoulSilver I kept training both a Zubat and the water starter.
And in White I trained a whole team of 6; though 2 of them, a Gothita and a Scraggy with Ice Punch I bred all the way from Diamond (Medicham -> Buneary -> Scraggy); were traded
Training 6 pokemon equally is HARD, and in the long run, especially in Gen 4, isn't worth the trouble.
Six level 48-53 Pokemon going up against League's 58-65? Have fun getting your ass handed to you. I know I had my crack widened.
Six Level 50-ish Pokémon with a human controlling them > Six level 60-ish Pokémon underneath a bot.
My first run on the elite four was quite easy, actually. Having pretty much all my team at around level 55 when I entered, and having a varied team was really helpful
My little sister has no idea about Pokemon, having no idea about attacks, etc has a lvl 60 Samurott. I have no idea.
Waterfall, surf, hydro pump, water gun?
Can anybody trade with me and trade back my pokemon?
If you have a Pokemon who also evolves by trade, this would be a beneficial move.
I don't get why people do this. Even the first time I played through Crystal I had the brains to think "Wait, what if I come up against something that resists fire, and Cyndaquil is my only Pokémon? Better keep some other moves."
Which generation?
It's in Black and White.
I restarted my White game after trading my Shiny Suicune and Victiny for safe keeping. Have them back now, but not using them because overpowered.
Just beat the third gym, my team is Servine, Tranquill, Roggenrolla, Panpour, Liepard, and Sigilyph.
All levels are 22.
happy birthday mewtwo?
or clone day
or whatever...
Nope, Aqua Jet, X-Scissor, Surf and Ice Beam
Surprisingly balanced.
Which is why I am so concerned about my sister. HAS SHE BEEN READING ON POKEMON? MORE AT 11.
Happy duplication day, everyone!
Anyone play the TCG? I'm thinking about collecting because of the Pokemon TCG Online beta. If so, where should I start?
All this talk about boyfriends and sisters playing pokemon reminds me of my girlfriend playing...
Her movesets, while not THAT bad, are very badly spread. And it bugs me to hell. She never plays it when i'm around now, because I get all back seat driver-y. Though we are both playing through SS atm. Got a Quilava, Furret, Pinsir and a Dratini.
But anyways, I totally lost it when she traded me an Abomasnow she caught with a MASTER BALL.
I guess I sort of do. I'm more of a collector, but I've been trying to get more into the actual game. The only tournament I've been to is the Next Destinies prerelease, and I lost all three rounds due to shitty pulls.
If you're mostly interested in playing online, I'm not sure. I haven't done much with it, but recent sets always come with a code card in each booster pack that'll get you a booster pack in the TCGO. If you actually want to play the physical game, it would be a good idea to buy a couple theme decks, as these are a great source of Energy. Like the video games, there is a meta game, so you should keep this in mind when planning a deck. I may not be the best person to try to give you advice, but there's some.
drud
Got my arceus of global link.
Gunna make it a normal type with extremespeed, return, shadow claw and recover.
He shall be my elite four grinder into ETERNITY.
Maybe it's some kind of OCD, but I go insane when I see a pokemon with two attacking moves of the same type. My brother's Samurott has both Hydro Cannon and Surf, for example
PD: My Samurott has the same moveset save for Aqua Jet, it has Aerial Ace instead
My compfag Floatzel ran both Aqua Jet and Waterfall. Worked pretty well. Nipped choice scarf users in the arse while still being able to break down bulkier opponents.
I'm bored so here's a basic rundown of how my family has played pokemon.
Dad: Tries to comprehend the basic type match-ups.
Sister: Tries to understand the pokemon stats, move stats and type matchups. (Doing very well too)
Brother: Catch the strongest one and fight. (If he loses once, he throws a fit.)
Me: Understand the opponent pokemon's weakness, compare them to my stats and strength, then dominate.
Mom hasn't played pokemon. She just likes watching.
my family couldn't give less fucks about my gaming
i wish i had one that did, i would think it'd be kinda cool or neat...
My sister uses Aqua Jet for murdering pokemon faster than it. She might be 10, and not able to understand her game that well, since she only speaks Spanish (Her game is in English, so she can learn.) but she is doing very well.
Thanks for the advice, regardless. I think I might start with a theme deck then. I used to collect Pokemon TCG when I was a lot younger, but I didn't really play it. I guess I was more of a collector back then (I think I ended up selling my cards in the end). I don't know if I would be bothered to physically go to games, but I like that new card smell.![]()
gamer families suck, you never get the PC to yourself.
I've got my own computer, but I never get XBox time because my parents are on all day.![]()
Does anyone know a good trading site? I really, really need an Eevee egg for my Black.
