    Quick declare, replacing planet.


    Trojan-6 is colonized, the fleet at Trantimir fires another wave of heavily armed drop pods, and the other fleet finally returns with the "Fragment of the heavens". The ship carrying the "Fragment of the heavens" is emitting a large amount of energy. (You guys can decide if this strange energy is detectable or not.)

    The abundance of matter fuels the machine, and it enters orbit and ceases locomotion mechanisms.
    It continues to use the nonvaluable asteroids as fuel, using its shields to prevent damage from dust, and begins building another machine like itself.

    It looks better then most of the planets here. I thought I did pretty good, not to replicate his planets but to make it look better then most.

    I just used paintbrushes in paint.net.
    Also that planet looks cool.

    Also i have added small logos on the planet names:
    Anchor means spaceport (big ships can land too)
    Factory means that the planet is industrialized. (And it means that it produces lots of goods)
    Dude means that the planet has population of >10 billion.
    Pickaxe and shovel means that planet produces lots of raw materials.
    Lightningbolt means that planet produces lots of energy.
    And the red one means that planet is closed and permission is required to land there (also military ships should keep some distance).

    A few deploy-able space stations/drones position themselves in a square manner.

    Snippets of communication:

    Tamper I3 launches it's first manned spacecraft, TFF1 - "Masser", to launch it's trade agreement with IC and the other cargo party, Since this is the first Spacecraft ever, it won't hold much due to it's size and primal state, but It's a good start. There are also plans to construct an orbital dock.

    Communist government of Katorga-62 falls and start economical boom on Katorga-62, which starts industrialization (Katorga-62 will industrialize in 3 turns). Now Katorga is straight under IC's command.

    Also Siberia has moved to to it's place on sun's orbit and it's being colonized. Only basic infrastructure is being built (Mines and spaceport will be done in 1 turn). But there's one problem with colonization: Siberia is named after infamous and extremely cold area on Katorga-62, which had many labor camps for prisoners. So it won't attract much people to move there.
    Also the labor camp operations were moved to Siberia after fall of Katorga's own government.

    Also passanger ship is being built.

    Alright, I've made many new changes. The Arterrans have constructed their second capital ship and built a new fleet (I haven't been on in about a week and almost everyone else has a full fleet so whatever.). I also brought in the new planet of Constar because everyone else already has nearly 4+ planets in their empire, most of which they spawned from practically out of the blue anyways.

    I've added oskutin's symbols to my planets (now in stylish green!) as well as creating my own, the sickle. The sickle represents the planet is a major agricultural producer.

    Also oskutin, can you seriously post a tutorial on how to make those planets?

    I was also thinking of a change to the rules regarding the amount of ships you can have and how long it would take to build them:

    [release] With the introduction of the new icons from oskutin, I feel we could actually make this into a far more strategic almost game rather than a "draw your own" kind of thing.

    It could work like this: Your home planet can have all of the traits selected, while other planets can only choose 3 (not including landing restrictions) per planet.

    Each trait has its own use, usually flowing into a new trait. Lets have the chart:
    There are two trees, the manufacturing tree and the biological tree. Each carries it's own importance.
    The Bio Tree
    Agriculture(sickle)--->Population---->Military size

    What that tree states above is basically that too have a military unit (used for making ships) you must first need the 10 billion people marker on one of your planets. To get that marker, the planet needs to be able to have agricultural output. I'll explain military units in a moment.

    The Manufacturing Tree
    Natural Resources (shovel and pick)---->Industrial Production(factory)---->Ships

    This tree lists the perquisites for building a ship(s).

    Now to explain. Basically, you need these resources either in the planets you own or connected through another empire via trade agreements. Each tree gives you a certain number of units. The Bio Tree gives you 26 military units to place around your planets or use as crew. The Manufacturing Tree is used to make ships (for one full tree it can give you either 4 small, 2 medium, or one large ship.)

    Each ship must be staffed by crew which come out of your military reserves. Each ship needs certain numbers of crew to fully staff:

    Small= 1 Military Units
    Medium= 2 Military Units
    Large= 4 Military Units

    What do you do with the leftover troops? Simple, you use them to defend a planet from invasion (or to invade other planets). You MUST use military units to invade a planet. If you use ships, all you can do is destroy the planet and therefore lose it's resources. It's simply a numbers game: The attack needs twice the amount of troops than the defender. Each turn, the attacker will lose two units while the defender only loses one. To repel an invasion, the defender must either whittle down the attackers forces or gain more reinforcments. It will make taking planets much more costly. However, do not fret, as your military reserves will grow back by 2 units per turn for both empires.

    For the home planet it is different. When attacking a home planet, you cannot conquer it. You must destroy the homeplanet. To even things out, the homeplanet gets an advantage: Increased production enabling you to create twice the amount of ships at a quicker rate.

    I'll do it later once FP gets more members. Most vets drop out of these threads after about 2 or 3 of them, so we need fresh blood before starting another.
