Or by lugging around the otherwise useless laser rifle.

To beat barret, I ended up just spamming him with like 5 frag mines at once.

the other two I pretty much just lamed my way to victory by stunning them with the flaregun, and spamming them with the explosive revolver. Unless you were a combat specialist, they were just boring and frustrating to fight. I've never played a "KILL EVERYTHING" Jensen, so I don't know if it's much more fun for them.
It's not much more fun, it's still boring as fuck. Barret easily dies to the barrels, but is still not a trouble with starting weapons. Mantis is piss easy if you have the electricity blocker or accidentally brought a stun gun, otherwise it takes a good 3 minutes of shooting to kill her with weapons from the same room. The main Tyrant shouldn't even be described, he is a piece of cake by that time. And the final boss sucks ass since all it can do is put 3 turrets, 4 bots and 6 "zombies", that are not even worth your bullets.

Damn the original game; even with a scope and my shots zeroed in entirely, that bloody 'randomized spread' aspect of every shot tends to make my traq crossbow bolts hit people in places other than the head, alerting them. Good thing I save before almost every enemy group, but bloody hell.

I am really annoyed by the fact that punching through walls kills a person behind it
Also    How are you supposed to save malik? Remembering paul from DX1 I am sure that you can do that, but she just dies instantly

Holy christ the multiplayer of Deus Ex is BAAAD.
You walk slow as fuck, weapons are horrible, and what I thought was a Rawkit Lawnchair turned out to be a Teleporter-Gun-thing.
I loved DX multiplayer, I actually played it longer then singleplayer

You have to be aggressive with that part. This is a good way to do it. Spoilers of course.

You've got to rush them with tranquilizers, stun darts and takedowns - you know, the usual - and pray they don't all concentrate on you, taking it slowly will take too long.

I've been taking down the heavy armored guys first, but it's hard to run out of the open without being killed afterwards. I have limited tranquilizer and stun darts, I didn't expect this to happen so I thought I could just supply up while in china. :v

I did it all nonlethally. Gas grenades are key. Leave the snipers for last, they do the least damage. You need to concentrate on the heavily armored dudes, but if you aim correctly you can take out everyone on the ground with one gas grenade. I remember starting to run to the right side, throwing a gas grenade to the top floor to take out one gunner, throwing another to take out the people on the ground, and then going on a stun-gun spree. I never had ammo problems because I hadn't stunned, killed or used takedowns a single time earlier in the game (apart from boss).

    Edited:

Also make sure when you use the EMP grenade on the heavy bot that there are no bodies too close by, or they can get killed in the explosion.

I went back a couple saves and stocked up on all the emps and grass grenades I could find. This worked fine. Took me 4 hours to go back, get all the shit, and pass it, but it was worth it.

And now I'm off to play the missing link.    I'm supposed to when he jumps in the cargo crate after he sets that bomb off correct?

I've run into some strange phenomenon where when I take down a person non-lethally, he always dies. I've tried the dart and stun guns, but it always shows the little skull notification by his body. I can easily run past him, of course, but I'm more worried about the fact that this could have happened with other enemies earlier on, which would ruin my non-lethal playthrough.

The person in question is a baller in the Detroit sewers, near the destructible wall with the second hidden praxis kit.

Has this happened to anyone else before? Anyone know why it happens?

Just finished it and the missing link with around 36 hours in total. It was a great game. Are the stories in the first two just as good?

I think I'll also buy the Icarus effect book.

Also I am on the    Panchea level        And damn it I am seriously freaking out. The atmosphere is so tense and all those bodies and diary logs don't help at all. Well at least I convinced Hugh Darrow to give me the codes

The Icarus effect is a good read, it serves primarily to add character to the Mercs who attacked Sarif. It also has a lot of nods to Deus Ex 1 as a whole, but Adam isn't involved bar a passing mention.

The only problem I had with    Panchea    was the godawful skybox.

The buildings in it were so flat

As I'm nearing end of Deus Ex I just can't see how this game could ever be remade. I know there aren't any plans for it but seeing how old this game is and how much it has to offer is incredible.

Finished the first game last night, great game. Started on Invisible War, trying to get it to look decent at my resolution is fucking annoying, and the Steam overlay wont work so I've got 6 minutes of playtime clocked after playing for an hour.
