I will buy everyone who has ever posted in this thread Deus Ex
I'm thinking April Fools. :rolleye:
Damn the original game; even with a scope and my shots zeroed in entirely, that bloody 'randomized spread' aspect of every shot tends to make my traq crossbow bolts hit people in places other than the head, alerting them. Good thing I save before almost every enemy group, but bloody hell.
I am really annoyed by the fact that punching through walls kills a person behind it
Also How are you supposed to save malik? Remembering paul from DX1 I am sure that you can do that, but she just dies instantly
Should I get this on Pc or Ps3? If Pc I have to get a new graphics card, which can run it smooth.
Anyone been able to save malik during the second trip to china? I've been trying to do it without killing anyone on "give me deus ex", but I'm having a pretty hard time.
I've been taking down the heavy armored guys first, but it's hard to run out of the open without being killed afterwards. I have limited tranquilizer and stun darts, I didn't expect this to happen so I thought I could just supply up while in china. :v
Run at em with hevay AR blazing. Should do the job nicely.
Stun closest dude, take his gun, kill rest with his gun.
I did it all nonlethally. Gas grenades are key. Leave the snipers for last, they do the least damage. You need to concentrate on the heavily armored dudes, but if you aim correctly you can take out everyone on the ground with one gas grenade. I remember starting to run to the right side, throwing a gas grenade to the top floor to take out one gunner, throwing another to take out the people on the ground, and then going on a stun-gun spree. I never had ammo problems because I hadn't stunned, killed or used takedowns a single time earlier in the game (apart from boss).
Also make sure when you use the EMP grenade on the heavy bot that there are no bodies too close by, or they can get killed in the explosion.
And now I'm off to play the missing link. I'm supposed to when he jumps in the cargo crate after he sets that bomb off correct?
I own Deus Ex, IW, and HR.
I love all three of them.
I've run into some strange phenomenon where when I take down a person non-lethally, he always dies. I've tried the dart and stun guns, but it always shows the little skull notification by his body. I can easily run past him, of course, but I'm more worried about the fact that this could have happened with other enemies earlier on, which would ruin my non-lethal playthrough.
The person in question is a baller in the Detroit sewers, near the destructible wall with the second hidden praxis kit.
Has this happened to anyone else before? Anyone know why it happens?
Bought IW and HR:Missing Link during the sale, my collection is complete! Time to do a playthrough of all three.
Just finished it and the missing link with around 36 hours in total. It was a great game. Are the stories in the first two just as good?
I think I'll also buy the Icarus effect book.
Is the icarus book good?
Also I am on the Panchea level And damn it I am seriously freaking out. The atmosphere is so tense and all those bodies and diary logs don't help at all. Well at least I convinced Hugh Darrow to give me the codes
The Icarus effect is a good read, it serves primarily to add character to the Mercs who attacked Sarif. It also has a lot of nods to Deus Ex 1 as a whole, but Adam isn't involved bar a passing mention.
After playing through the game three times, I never figured out what his codes actually do.
After looking at a guide, I see they do very little.
Hmm, never got around to buying the Missing Link, worth it?
At least wait for a sale.
As I'm nearing end of Deus Ex I just can't see how this game could ever be remade. I know there aren't any plans for it but seeing how old this game is and how much it has to offer is incredible.
Finished the first game last night, great game. Started on Invisible War, trying to get it to look decent at my resolution is fucking annoying, and the Steam overlay wont work so I've got 6 minutes of playtime clocked after playing for an hour.
I beat The Missing Link a few days ago. It was incredible for a DLC, I'm surprised I got 7 hours out of a DLC considering most full games are 6 hours at best
